A Luxury Experience

Posted June 2, 2009 | 15:46:45 (EST)

When I was invited to attend the opening of a new wing of the hotel chain beaches in Turks & Caicos, I was truthfully excited about the complimentary much-needed vacation. That said, I had a pre-conceived notion of the "all-inclusive" resort concept. Beaches is
part of the Sandals chain...

So I'm an action junkie. I know it. I've said it, and everyone who knows me knows it.

Is it because I grew up at the racetrack? I don't know. I have no clue whether the chicken or the egg came first. I...

Age of Insecurity

Posted April 20, 2009 | 11:57:29 (EST)

It's the truest cliche ever. Men age gracefully, and women end up just looking like hags. Men upgrade the wives that are their age for the newer, younger model (not necessarily fashion model but the younger version so to speak).

Then there are the inspirational exceptions. These are the...

Can We Have It All?

Posted April 14, 2009 | 16:04:52 (EST)

Can we have it all? There is no mystery as to why "Sex and the City" was such a hit. After decades of women feeling guilty for being sexual, outcasts for not being or wanting to be married, selfish for not wanting kids, finally a show came along that said...

Recently, since the release of my new book "Naturally Thin - Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting," people have been referring to me as an "author" which sort of makes me laugh. It seems so pretentious, and unless my publicist or publisher ask me to,...

Posted April 1, 2009 | 12:44:13 (EST)

My intention really was to write a blog about "what you don't see" on reality TV with regards to the editing. That was until I watched the Celebrity Apprentice tonight which was incredibly tragic.

Celebrity Apprentice

Posted March 18, 2009 | 11:46:00 (EST)

That isn't easy because it really is the Acela of train wreck television. Having been on the Martha Stewart Apprentice, I understand the game. Unlike the celebrities, though, we were sequestered for 2 months with no phone, TV, newspapers, credit...

Posted March 5, 2009 | 11:21:00 (EST)

Well, it is true. I am now a reality star.

I always say it is about the journey not the destination and this is part of my journey.

In my years of acting, TV production, then movie production, then event production and ultimately pashmina importing, I never knew...
