Director Tamra Davis' film Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child, comes to Los Angeles for one week only at the Landmark. Davis and Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Jeffrey Deitch will appear in person for a Q & A at the 7:30pm screening Friday, with screenings to follow throughout the week.

Jerri Allyn and Inez S. Bush present an exploration of Freedom of Expression, and Gentrification and Cultural Equity, based on a Model United Nations paradigm. Admission is free.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 21
Muse til' Midnight
LACMA (Mid-Wilshire)

LACMA Muse presents its fourteenth annual Muse til' Midnight celebrating Thomas Eakins and Catherine Opie. The evening will provide after-hours access exhibitions by the artists, with live musical acts, vaudeville performers, Opie-inspired photostations, video projections, steampunk-inspired crafts, including "homegrown" and "homemade" moustache contests, and complimentary cocktails. The night will also feature musical performances by Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, and Unextraordinary Gentleman.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 22
Cause for Creativity: Tour da Arts, Vol. 2
SMMoA (Santa Monica)

The second annual Cause for Creativity: Tour da Arts event encourages patrons to reduce oil dependecy and celebrate art. The evening will feature a spoke card art workshop, cultural bike tour and exhibition closing party. Patrons can enjoy a scenic ride through Santa Monica and bike-themed festivities, performances, food trucks and more. Participation in the ride and festivities is free, spoke card art workshop is free for SMMoA mmebers and $5 for non-members.
