Bilerico Project made national news this week when I reported that Indiana Republican congressional candidate Marvin Scott's campaign manager was tweeting anti-gay, racist and xenophobic screeds. After the local and national media followed up on the story, the man resigned his position but the candidate went before the Indianapolis Star editorial board and made anti-Muslim remarks on his own while calling for the federal government to shut down Twitter and Facebook.
