Republicans Don't Believe in Tax Cuts

10 Comments | Posted March 24, 2009 | 12:13 PM (EST)

As the world's economic crisis continues to play out there are some crucial questions that the Republicans have not been asked for reasons unknown to me, as they are some of the most obvious and most important questions they need to answer. I believe that asking these questions will so...

Stewart vs. Cramer: A Victimless Struggle

36 Comments | Posted March 17, 2009 | 12:29 PM (EST)

I just finished watching Jon Stewart's almost completely satisfying conversation with Jim Cramer on Hulu. Stewart chastised Cramer for taking Wall Street CEOs and others who abuse the stock market at face value and in turn for not looking behind their misleading statements to report the real story of how...

Sarah Palin and the Derelict GOP

Posted November 7, 2008 | 03:03 PM (EST)

I don't give a rat's ass how much money the GOP spent on Sarah Palin's clothes.

Here's what I do care about, and care about strongly: Sarah Palin, as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, did not know Africa was a continent. She did not know which countries are members...

Barack Obama and the World's Highest Hopes

Posted November 6, 2008 | 05:43 PM (EST)

Wow. How good did voting feel this year? Its always been a thrill, but never so much as this. When I submitted my ballot a chill went up my spine and joy filled my heart. I felt real. I felt in the world. I respected my country and my fellow...

Sarah "Frodo" Palin and The Cancer School of Economics

Posted October 16, 2008 | 06:22 PM (EST)

Both Democrats and Republicans want America atop the world's economic food chain. After all, it's better to be the Great White Shark than the seal. They differ on what to do to keep us there, of course. Generally, Republicans want businesses operating free of taxes and government intervention, while Democrats...

John Cusack, et al, Try to Slip a Big Wad of Hot, Slippery Propaganda Past Bill O'Reilly!

Posted June 14, 2008 | 10:50 AM (EST)

In a recent broadcast Bill O'Reilly called War Inc., the new film starring John Cusack, Marissa Tomei and Hillary Duff, "propaganda".

Propaganda, as we all surely remember from 8th grade, is information or ideas or rumors that are methodically spread by an organized group or government to influence people's...

What Hillary Clinton wants.

Posted June 4, 2008 | 05:56 PM (EST)

Hillary Clinton does not want to be Vice President. An office with no executive power? Not nearly good enough. Not by a long shot.

Deep inside Hillary's nails-on-a-chalk board "it ain't over even when it's over" mindset, a curious political logic holds sway. This logical construction would have us...

How To Tell If Your Surge Is Working

Posted April 7, 2008 | 10:51 PM (EST)

If the surge were a success, Mc Cain and Bush would be bringing home the troops. The fact that McCain and Bush want to keep the surge in place means the surge is a failure. The need to keep the surge means there is a need to keep Iraq from...

Baghdad Bob and Baghdad Bush

Posted March 31, 2008 | 04:09 PM (EST)

We all remember "Baghdad Bob", right? He was Saddam Hussein's laughable, not funny press secretary back in March of 2003. As Saddam's sickening "empire" drowned like a bug in a flood as America's grotesquely over powered war machine swept away Saddam's regime, Baghdad Bob appeared on TV every night with...

Check it Out Here First! Barack Obama's "Presidential To-Do List"!

Is Bush's God an Idiot?

Posted March 13, 2007 | 06:16 PM (EST)

Before deciding to invade Iraq, Bush, apparently, or so he says, talked it over with God, and God, says Bush, told him to invade, or at least made it abundantly clear that he supported an invasion of Iraq very, very, very strongly, presumably because God hates Middle Eastern dictators with...

Does Bush Deserve Us?

Posted January 24, 2007 | 11:15 AM (EST)

I'm so sick of being repulsed by President Bush. He has dragged us into the worst state of affairs this country has been in since the depression- and in many ways where we are today is much worse than those days- he has truly created a disaster out of a...

Reality and Iraq

A person becomes an adult when they reach the point where they stop hurting themselves. As a nation we will have reached adulthood when we are able to stop doing things that hurt our country.

Immaturity justifies self destruction by blaming others. For example, the immature teenager says "life...

The Great Bush Horrors of a Failed Iraq

Posted January 16, 2007 | 06:52 PM (EST)

In his recent speech on Iraq from the White House library President Bush tried to hammer home the idea that the failure of his policies in Iraq will result in "unimaginable" violence for Iraqis and America. We've seen cities wiped out by nuclear weapons and the horrors of genocide, so...

Osama Bin Laden is Kicking George Bush Ass

Posted August 31, 2006 | 07:38 PM (EST)

An ass kicking isn't just getting bitch slapped, it's getting viciously, relentlessly pummeled to the point where you are forever changed.

To get a handle on how badly George Bush's ass is being kicked recquires going back at least as far as the early 1990's.

Osama Bin Laden,...

Leaving Iraq

Who can argue with democracy in the Middle East? That sure would be nice. Bush and Cheney never understood that the non neo-con objection to invading Iraq was it wouldn't work. A western country, let alone America, imposing democracy on an Arab state from the barrel of a gun is...
