THOUGHT REVOLUTION demonstrates how to tap into the right brain -- the place where intuition and creativity exist -- in a simple, easy and dramatic fashion. The author, Bill Donius, ( www.williamdonius.com ) takes readers on a journey that will set them free -- and it all begins a unique methodology from tapping into the right brain, "on demand." Donius' method draws upon the work of Nobel Prize winning Roger Sperry, MD, who, in the mid-fifties, demonstrated the lateralization of brain functioning.

Thought leaders agree that in order to compete in the global economy of the 21st Century, it is imperative that we think creatively to boost innovation. The problem: Neither the neuroscientists nor the thought leaders are giving us what we really need -- the HOW to -- HOW to think differently -- HOW to use our innate creativity -- HOW to tap into our inborn intuition.

The process in THOUGHT REVOLUTION is simple. It involves using an individual's non-dominant hand as the neural pathway to the right brain. THOUGHT REVOLUTION becomes the guidebook for all those who become paralyzed at hearing the word "creative." He is a frequent speaker on the topic of innovation and ideation and takes his methodology into small to large sized companies.

Donius rose through the ranks of corporate America, ultimately becoming Chairman and CEO of a major St. Louis bank. He also served on the U.S. Federal Reserve Board-TIAC Council in Washington, D.C. with Ben Bernanke for two years. He served on a number of boards including America's Community Bankers, St. Louis Art Museum, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Forest Park Forever, ARCHS, and Maryville University.

Donius attended the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and CEO Program at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Inspiration, or More Perspiration in Problem Solving?

(0) Comments | Posted May 10, 2013 | 10:54 AM

Inspiration and imagination are part of what Einstein called the "sacred gift." Without it, an individual can go through life much like a robot or drone.

Inspiration is like a blast of fresh air upon leaving a smoke-filled room. Unfortunately, unlike opening a door to get fresh air, it's...

Why It's Tough to Innovate in Business: We're "Left-Brained"

(2) Comments | Posted November 20, 2012 | 11:17 AM

Most business people operate inside the proverbial "box" most of the time. As we age, our brains become increasingly more ingrained into familiar patterns and routines. We get comfortable in this place. I've noticed this pattern over my own thirty-year business career across five different industries.

In strategic planning sessions...

From Whence Comes Innovation?

(19) Comments | Posted October 19, 2012 | 9:00 AM

"Higher education is not worth the higher cost" is the response I received from China to a blog piece I had written earlier this summer. I was somewhat surprised to have touched a nerve on the other side of the world.

Making his case was the son of two Chinese...

Is Higher Education Worth the Higher Cost?

College tuition costs have more than doubled, even after adjusting for inflation, over the past two decades. Peter Thiel's Foundation is actually paying students to drop out of college to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. Are we reaching a break point? Does the value proposition of spending...

Can You Really Unlock Your "Inner Genius"?

(7) Comments | Posted March 15, 2012 | 1:55 PM

Seems like a lofty proposition, right? First of all, we're assuming that there is a "genius inside" worth unlocking. Secondly, this "genius" must also be accessible at will. My research suggests that both assumptions are true: we all have our genius equivalent and we all can indeed unlock the creative...

Was Steve Jobs Using His Right Brain?

(1) Comments | Posted November 10, 2011 | 10:27 AM

"Think Different" was the (grammatically incorrect) mantra and slogan that Steve Jobs brought to Apple. It proved to be more than a slogan; it actually worked. How did he do it?

If Jobs' creativity could be reproduced, every board of directors in the world eventually would want to claim the...

Right-Brained or Hare-Brained?

(3) Comments | Posted October 25, 2011 | 6:54 PM

"Think outside the box," over the years has become somewhat of a cliché itself, an ironical twist for an over-used phrase originally designed to encourage creative thinking among problem solvers in all fields. And yet the need for creative thinking is extremely relevant today as we find ourselves stymied by...

"What makes us human?" "How does the cortex work?" "What is the thalamus interested in paying attention to?"

These were the answers I got when I asked three prominent neuroscientists what question they would like answered. These three are making an important contribution to the field of neuroscience, and...

Twelve years ago, I read "Recovery of Your Inner Child." The book opened up a whole new world for me. Technically, it was my right brain (the creative, intuitive, instinctive hemisphere) that I opened up. It was like turning on the proverbial light switch. More than any self-help book I...
