I remember reading somewhere that of all religions the evangelicals have the highest obesity rate.

Maybe they are eating too much junk food looking for the Mary.

I think that has more to do with geography than anything else. If you look at where they live, it's mostly suburbs and small communities in the middle of the country where you have to drive everywhere.

How about captioning these videos? I kinda feel left out. Maybe a transcript? Hmm?

Sometimes Bill comes up with a good one.

Here's another idea: in Rome, one can still purchase a Papal blessing, on paper, and have it mailed to one's home, for about $20 U.S.
Perhaps the makers of healthy food should include a free Papal blessing with every purchase of one of their products?

If I had the capital i would simply create a whole line of snack foods shaped like biblical figures, have all the ingredients blessed and sell them on the internet....sorta like this guy did:

Must religion infect everything? Let's leave the healthy foods out of it.

Ok.Ok people of faith, let's go on the all sacred diet.

We won't eat anything until some image or shape of religious significance manifests itself on or in the food. This will be enabled and enhanced by shrooms and asphyxia between meals.

I once thought I saw an image similar to Jesus on a bacon double cheeseburger, but then I realized that there had to be something un-kosher abut the whole thing.

I love Bill Maher. He and Keith Olberman keep me sane.

Agreed. But, I would also add Rachel Maddow. They all keep me informed and sane. And, Bill, in particular, helps me maintain my sense of humor. We all need that in these trying times.

Add to the list:

Jon Stewart
Stephen Colbert

and be grateful for the sanity-bringers in these interesting times!

By appearing on less-than-healthy foods, Jesus is just trying to help christians meet God that much sooner...

New Rule: Different religious leaders must start appearing on foods

Virgin Mary is so played out, how about Buddha? Mohammed? Or even on a plate of Spaghetti? The Flying Spaghetti Monster needs to be more visible.

We can't just see one religious leader dominating ALL our hallucinations, that would be like voting Republican because you think tax cuts will solve all our problems.

Can you imagine the uproar if Mohammed appeared on something edible? And you thought people were upset over political cartoons with his image......lol

If you really do not care how much of your income goes to the government then by all means give it to them and just live off of the state. I honestly cannot understand the mentality of someone who has no problem with being continually taxed into submission. That's like voting Democrat because you believe the only solution is to keep giving up your hard earned money.

From Time Magazine, follow the link about Joe the Plumber:

Representative Patrick McHenry of North Carolina, a conservative who keeps a bust of Reagan on his desk, surprised me by declaring that the Reagan era is over. "Marginal tax rates are the lowest they've been in generations, and all we can talk about is tax cuts," he said.

You've been lied to. Learn the truth. We'll wait.

And this is relevant to the discussion, how???

Not to mention, it's incorrect - for the 10kth time - Obama's program has l o w e r e d taxes for 95% of the electorate !!!!

I don't object to being taxed, I object to the Republicans who spend it only on the wealthy, fake wars, oil companies and protecting themselves.

As we have all learned recently, a tax and spend democrat is better for the economy than the spend and borrow republicans.

Just like everyone can see different images in clouds, this applies to various sightings be it Cheetos, windows, tree bark, or potatoes. I once found a cereal flake shaped liked NJ, or maybe it was the profile of Jesus......I couldn't decide, since I'm a freethinking sceptic, didn't want it to go to waste, it tasted pretty good......who knows, I probably missed an oppurtunity to sell on E-Bay......lol

I once saw the virgin mary appear after a "virgin mary"! Then the bartender confessed he'd gotten the order wrong and it was in fact a bloody mary. I sreamed bloody murder, and the lady next to me said: I'll have what he's having. We ended up with a round of sex on the beach and called it a night after a screaming orgasm.

I love Real Time. The last three programs this season have been excellent and Bill's one of the most adroit political interviewers in the business. Funny too.
