Bill Maher is great! I wish more non-liberals would watch him, as he often has conservatives ont he show, and gets them to speak honestly about things that they otherwise lie about. He's very perceptive.
Curses. As a long time fan [ remember you in a sitcom with Geena Davis] back in the silent days of tv and therefore have to pass this gem on to you.
Try and get an interview with Joe Lieberman [thats the Senator that has consistently refused to work on Saturday, Sunday and other days ending with "day".
Topic of the interview: Sen. Lieberman thoughts on a Palin VP and how big a welcome will she get in a real "bear" country?
Bill you are my hero!
I wish you could moderate one of the debates. You would keep em honest.
To make things even Ben Stein could moderate one too!
LOL.
Can't wait for Religulous!
Please, Please, Please, arrange it so Bill Maher moderates a debate between Obama/McCain AND Biden/Palin. Separate shows.
It is only fair the Con-servative Right already had the SaddleBack debate.
Bill Maher is great, just great...love him!!
Thanks for ruling so sweetly, Bill.
Welcome back, Bill! You are the consumate practitioner of COMMON SENSE and logic in the MSM (next to Olberman & Maddow)! MAN, I wish he wouldn't take so much time off during the year! We need his honest sarcasm just to get through the toughest boooO$hCo. times!
Bill Maher For President - 2016!!!!!!!!!! (Of course I've been saying that for more than a decade...to no avail! God, I love that guy!!!!)
Love, love, love, love Bill. He's the most intelligent man on television. Can't wait to hear his opinions re: the McCain/Palin ticket.
I was happily amazed at the growth that Bill has exhibited over the past couple of years. His comments tonight regarding the futile use of violence shows him to be a truly evolved thinker. It seems that few people have noticed that on the anniversary of Dr King's majestic speech, Obama pandered to the masses, going on about getting bin Laden, as if he is the problem. Violence is the problem, as Dr King, Einstein, Gandhi and J Lennon told us--people revered but ignored in this obvious insight into the failings of we humans to match human progress to technological ones. Bill Maher spoke the truth regarding the futility of violence and the intention of obama to continue with the mahem--in a different locale. He doesn't know it but Bill has become very spiritual in his evolution--a high compliment.

If as the poet said; the child is the father of the man, and the man is the father of the child, then you're your own grandpa and McCain is the one.
Welcome back Bill!!!!
And on a serious note Bill the less said about Sarah the better. No. Not by you but by the OB team.
If you are considering including a panelist on your show [and if you use my suggestion you owe me big time] my suggestion to you is to get spokesbear from Alaska and ask some incisive questions beginning with. "So what do your "people" feel about someone who claims to have put many of your people to permanent sleep possibly becoming VP of the US?
But before you answer you all are probably thrilled that she'll not be hunting in Alaska for at least 8 weeks.
So as suggested above you have the acorn of smash show. Say maybe you can have a Sarah look alike too on the same panel.
LOL.....Bill is hilarious. I watch his show faithful every Friday....
Great season opener Bill! What I learned was that EVEN Bill Maher can cry during a convention speech! Who'd a thunk it? Glad you're back to assist with the effort to get America back on track. Just do us ALL a favor, okay? TAKE MICHELE MARTIN SERIOUSLY! Don't get bogged down in the "Sarah Palin is a joke" routine. Hit her hard on issues. Don't attack her for being female. Don't blow up the 'beauty queen' image and keep making jokes on it. Take the high ground. Help Obama WIN!!
Obama believes in invading selected countries and making war in different venues. Defeat evil? Give me a break. These conflicts stem from US provocations around the world with the result of feeding the insatiable war machine Eisenhauer warned us about.
Tell Iran not to go nuclear? While we develop a new generation of tactical nuclear weapons?
Ya, right. Real logical
Bill came back just in time for Palin. I am just happy he is back right time for some trash talk.
I agree. Bill was fantastically hilarious on his 1st show back on Fri. The timing of it couldn't have been more perfect.
I'm all for responsible exploration, but not because I think it's going to solve our energy problem. Only neophytes who don't know anything about energy think that. America consumes 20 million barrels a day of oil and we produce about 7. If we explored everywhere and we got REAL lucky, we might add 1.5 million more barrels to the tally. Which leaves us 11.5 million barrels a day short rather than 13 million barrels a day short. I think it's a good idea to do it because we're transferring wealth from America to OPEC in such quantities that OPEC countries will soon be able to buy into American companies to such an extent that they can drive the American standard of living down.
A Manhattan project on energy, focusing on switching from oil to other energy sources, is needed right now. RIGHT NOW. Yes, we need more production - but unless we are developing alternatives while we increase production, it's like rebuilding New Orleans without fixing the levees - which the Republicans also apparently did.
It's official, the Bush "economic expansion" has ended, and has earned the distinction of being the weakest expansion since World War II, according to The New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/30/business/economy/30charts.html?_r=2&ref=business&oref=slogin&oref=slogin
