Fox News, the future home of Lou Dobbs, aka "The Bill O'Reilly/Megyn Kelly Network, " has recently lost some big-name advertisers on psychic exile Glen Beck's race-baiting carnival sideshow, you've probably read here.
I mentioned here last week that it's possible to have your local city council pull that toxin-spewing outfit off the local cable lineup in your town when the cable operator's contract comes up for renewal. Please remember this when renewal time comes.
But there's something else you can do in the meantime that could be far more effective in stopping the ringleaders of the Disloyal Opposition.
"I'm ready to boycott all of Fox News' sponsors," one female Commenter on my blog last week here said, adding, "It sickens me to watch Fox News. Could you provide a list of Fox advertisers?"
Hey, we're here to help. So, as Ko-Ko sang so humorously in Gilbert &Sullivan's classic comic opera, "The Mikado:"
"I've got a little list."
Here's a Clip 'n Save list of many of Fox's current clients taken from several day-parts this week. Not all Fox Noise advertisers are here, because, as the Commenter posted, it's impossible to watch this cable hatefest for too long without kicking in one's TV. Ironically, the ads are usually the least objectionable thing on the disreputable, extremist cable net.
You may wish to take note of the companies and products that follow when you're making buying decisions in the future, and/or send them a note or an e-mail reminding them that these are the same Fox "political terrorists" who are, as MSNBC's Ed Schultz also recently put it so well, "planting intellectual car bombs to drive into health-care debates in town halls."
Some of these advertisers may not realize -- yes, it's possible -- just how disgraceful and mean-spirited Fox Noise's programming is today, and how it could damage their carefully tended corporate image.
Here, then, a partial list of enablers of the Disloyal Opposition: .

Hopefully Color for Change will keep up the fight with these companies.
And keep publishing these lists, because compared to colorofchange measly numbers and the idea that advertisers know which groups actually spend the most, they will always stick with Fox! liberals just can't stand that Fox beats all of them together in every hour and Demo!
Advertisers are about getting to the most viewers! That can't happen if they throw their money away on MSNBC, CNN, or CNNHLN! (actually even headline news beats MSNBC and CNN in all hours!)
Yes, keep it up and keep letting us know the advertisers names! Those are the businesses we will support! Just like Whole Foods Buycott!
And since Obermann called half of America Racists on his show, we are going to do the same thing to him! Already in progress!
Fox News Channel is rated #1 for a reason! They actually report the real news, unlike MSNBC! Think about it Fox has more viewers than MSNBC and CNN combined! I like the fact that they are not afraid to report the truth. The act that everything they say has been verified by their 60some researchers. If something reported turns out to be incorrect they will retract it. That would never happen on MSNBC!
So your argument is that if a more people watch FOX News, then it must be the real news? If more people eat McDonald's, does that make it better than other foods? With that kind of logic, why am I not surprised you find FOX News appealing.
Michellegolf... are you nuts? You're really drinking the kool-aid.
Who are the "60some researchers" you, or FOX News have cited? Please tell us so we could do some research ourselves about who they are!!!
Fox news won the right to lie in court ...

I guess just changing the channel is too easy, why not try a little censorship? Just because you don't want to watch Fox News doesn't mean that I don't want to watch it.
Thanks for the list. I can avoid most of them but my dog refuses to boycott Chef Michael's Canine Creations .

I consider myself a true independent. I have never voted party. I do my homework and then vote.
One thing that stands out very clearly to me (and I consider myself just an "average citizen") as I wade tthrough all of the publicity and media coverage about health care reform , is that network TV news has fallen to an all time low.
Lost are the axioms of true journalism - truth, fairness, honesty and civility. And glory be, Fox the #1 "rated" is the worst.
It says something when a recent Time poll asking people who the most trusted newscaster is now that Walter Cronkite is gone was comedy centrals Jon Steward. I must agree with Michael Laskoff when he said, "I know that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert pass themselves off as comedians, but they are really the most influential satirists of the day: they inform and illuminate through ridicule. Certainly you laugh, but what you laugh at is also worthy of serious thought."
TV news is circus entertainment - anything for ratings and millions of miles away from 'quality news reporting' and what journalism should be.
I have a list of your advertisers, have attached this to my shopping list, and have passed this on to as many of my friends as I can and will speak of it every chance I get.

Sadder , "middle America" believes these shows.
If agree - e-mail Fox.
Just an "average Joe's" (excuse me Jane's) comments.
I know at lot of people watch fox news for the black comedy aspect of it. And I think it is important to hold them to account for the lies they spew, but we need to get together and select one person or small group to keep track and let the rest of us know.
I think if the people who watch Fox for the rubber-necking enjoyment of it stopped, it could really reduce their numbers.
Some of the population need the fear and lies to bolster their reluctance to change.
Let them keep their bobble-headed "reporters". That's all they have left.
Most of America doesn't have time to watch political shows, their too busy with work and family.
Let this list be our guide. Corporations with the integrity to not give in to the shakedown.
not for long murdoch money plummet and it will continue.
MSNBC will be gone long before Fox even whimpers! They have lower ratings than the Animal channel!
Fox News Rules!!! Libs do not like any opposing viewpoints, because it makes their own point of view look stupid.
fox news lies, so if you so gun ho to listen go right ahead, America is no longer in the business of lies, and fear. Were'er moving to the 21st, century where unity and honesty prevail.
As the rise of the internet and the free passage information, which can be fact-checked, continues to become popular, the FOX circus show (and others) will fail. FOX is popular because of the old age of our country. Old folks don't use the "interwebs" or "the Google"...
But it won't be like that forever... (especially because - did you hear - we're getting those "Death Panels". Yea, I heard it from FOX and Sarah Palin, must be TRUE right?)
Racist = A Conservative who is winning an argument with a Liberal!
Yes! There is no room in this world for Fox News. They disagree with almost everything that the administration does. We don't need them telling conservatives, who are the only people who watch Fox News, that Obama's policies are bad. We know that Obama's policies are best, period.
Get them off the air now!
All we need are MSNBC and the NYT. Get rid of the right-wing CNN too. That manslaughterer Rick Sanchez from CNN actually showed an armed black man at a healthcare rally. The armed black man was wearing a white collar shirt and a tie. You know he was a plant by Fox News to make MSNBC look bad. Only conservatives wear collared shirts and ties.
MSNBC??? That explains it! You want to remain a politically inept sheeple! MSNBC is still reporting on the Bush years. They refuse to report the real news! Have you read any of Obama's books? Have you researched and read books written by Obama's friends, the ones he has/had close relationships with? What do you know about his 30 or 40 czars? You know nothing; you drink the kool aid! Very sad! Please, become informed....and, it isn't going to happen if you watch MSNBC!!!!
It looks like you should have gotten the 'Dear Leaders" speech when you were in school! You show you needed it! MSNBC actually showed the same armed man at the Town Hall in AZ, but they cut the picture so it never would show the color of the guy! MSNBC is the biggest joke of all cable!! Wouldn't want to piss off there 100 total viewers with the truth!
Thanks.
PearleVision and Ford do not care. I e-mailed both of them and they both replied that they didn't care about the content of the shows they sponsored. They only cared about the audience numbers. Well, I do not watch Fox News, but I do wear glasses and I do buy cars. Never again from Pearle and Ford, though.
Trust me. Ford will get along just fine without your whining money.
yeah, we all know ford is ROCKING this economy! and we all know money whines, too! yeah, yeah! corporatism forever! woo! lies are way better than truth!! woo!
Thank you for the list! I am relieved to see that I have successfully managed to boycott every one of them
Trust me, Fox will never go off the air. Their ratings are sky high and the 5,000 people that watch MSNBC won't make a difference.
