President Obama Would Send a Message to the World

In our lifetime, America has never been more distrusted, or more disliked by the world community than it is today. One of the reasons is the unilaterlist attitude and policies displayed by the Bush administration around the world. After the 2004 election, people around the globe felt the American people reaffirmed their support for these policies by re-electing Bush. How could we best send a message to the world community that we, the American people, repudiate the policies of the last 6 (soon to be 8) years? How could we, the American people, send a message around the world , that we want inclusiveness and dialogue?

It is my contention that there is no better way to send that message than to elect Barack Obama president of the United States. What an loud and clear message that would send about who we are, what we want going forward and that we want to work with the world community instead of dictate to it. It is a message that would revolutionalize our low standing in the world and go a long way toward opening the eyes of people around the globe about how open a society we are and how willing we are to truly work and dialogue with our neighbors.
