Senator Rubio to Attorney General Holder: Resign Now!

Posted: 06/22/2012 7:14 pm

At Thursday's Monitor Breakfast in Washington, things got a little, well, Fast and Furious.

Senator Marco Rubio (R) of Florida called on U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to resign over the bungled "Fast and Furious " gun-trafficking operation. The freshman senator was responding to the Obama administration's decision Wednesday to claim executive privilege in refusing to hand over Justice Department documents to a congressional committee investigating the botched investigation.

The full program is available as part of the Monitor Breakfast on FORA.tv (subscription required).

I think that Holder should not resign. This whole deal is pure politics. Why is it that the issa and the republicans have refused to allow the democrats to call anyone from the bush's program, the majority of guns under bush were lost and they did not keep track of the guns. They do not know that the guns were not from bush's program. why is it that issa and the republicans will not allow the democrats to call agents from arizona to ask questions? What are the republlicans hiding. Rubio is nothing special but just another tea party dangerous senator. we need to go back to people who are not get the democrats and obama at all costs.

Rubio is unqualified to have an opinion on which day of the week it is.

Why was Alberto Gonzalez not subjected to this treatment? He certainly deserved it. Where were Republicon cries for justice then? Shutting down Holder allows the Republicon voter purges to continue unabated; that is what is still pushing this. By the way, House Republicons: where are the jobs?

Holder should make the GOP arrest him so that it outrages all minorities

Seriously Holder, is it that hard to comply with the law? What the hell are you hiding?

If you hadn't lied under oath in the first place you might actually have some credibity here or some leniency? But you already played that card.

How many partisan witch hunts have you cheered on in the last two years?  I'm guessing, several dozen.

No. I don't like this at all. There's far more important matters to address in the country. But all they are doing by withholidng info is making themselves look suspicious?
