A good friend of mine directed me to this video of Fred Rogers testifying before the Senate in 1969. I was so touched by it, I had to share it with you.
Whether or not you support government endowments for the arts and humanities, I think this video serves as a much needed break from our modern cynicism. I urge you to watch it to the end. You'll be glad you did.
Great things can still happen in America when good people just listen to each other. We can all learn something from what Mr. Rogers said on that day 37 years ago.
