Who says it's not appropriate for a 64 year-old woman to get sexy and reveal her firm tattooed bottom at the MTV VMA awards?
I say -- if Cher has still got a toned bootylicious body to die for, why shouldn't she flaunt it, just like she did twenty-four years ago when she first wore a version of this Bob Mackie-designed glittery getup? Listen, even 24 years ago her body was astonishing for a woman who was then 40. THAT, was a jaw-dropper at the time!
Let me ask you -- if we as a culture thinks it's OK for a 20-year-old or 40-year-old to wear a revealing outfit on a televised awards show, as many do -- then why would it be unseemly or gross for Cher, who is 64? Isn't it a question of taste, no matter what a woman's age? After all, we wouldn't particularly think it appropriate to eyeball an out-of-shape, overweight younger woman in a sheer, netted bodysuit, with garters and over-the-knee boots.
If anything, we should be applauding Cher for her commitment to staying fit and trim. And yes, I know, I know, she has had plastic surgery, certainly on her face, but even if she had liposuction all over her body, who cares? She's still had to also put a huge effort into maintaining her muscles. Liposuction can take fat cells out, but it can't tone you up!
