Three-time NFL all-star Brendon Ayanbadejo was born and raised in the North West side of Chicago. A star athlete at UCLA, Brendon entered the NFL in 2003 with the Miami Dolphins, however he was traded to the Chicago Bears in 2005. Upon his return home, he quickly began to work with different youth programs in the city of Chicago. He annually hosts the opening night of the Chicago Hip-Hop Theater Festival, showcasing various local performers at the Museum of Contemporary Arts. In 2007, he co-founded an organization addressing the lack of African-Americans in higher education that are not athletes. Brendon helped lead the Chicago Bears to the 2007 Super Bowl and since that time he has been named a Pro-Bowler for his incredible on-the-field performance. He currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens.
