Brian Clark Howard has been an environmental journalist since 2001 and is currently a web editor for The Daily Green, one of the web's premier destinations for all things relating to the green lifestyle. Prior to that he served five years as managing editor of E/The Environmental Magazine, America’s oldest, largest independent environmental magazine. He has written extensively on many topics, from energy to transportation, travel, green business, science, home design, media and consumer affairs. He is the co-editor and co-author of the 2005 book Green Living and contributed to a forthcoming book (Fall 2009) from Rodale Press loosely based on the iconic Whole Earth Catalog. Howard has written for Men's Health, MSN, Yahoo, Plenty, The Green Guide, AlterNet and elsewhere and is very active in online social media. He was a finalist for the 2004 Reuters-IUCN Environmental Media Awards and has a masters in journalism from Columbia University.
