Brian J. Siebel has started a political blog called Oppose Mitt : Fight for Progressive Change. It is at http://opposemitt.com. An attorney since 1990, Mr. Siebel has litigated and directed policy advocacy in Washington, D.C. for the last fifteen years.

He has been the Director of Justice Programs at the Alliance for Justice, where he worked on judicial nominations and helped label the Supreme Court under Chief Justice Roberts as the Corporate Court. He was also Legal Director for the Fair Elections Legal Network, where he worked on voter protection issues.

For nearly thirteen years he was a Senior Attorney with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, where he represented two dozen municipal plaintiffs in litigation against the gun industry. He also represented individual victims of gun violence and defended federal, state, and local gun laws in courts, including the United States Supreme Court. His testimony in support of the D.C. assault weapons ban was relied on by the D.C. Circuit to uphold the law against a constitutional attack.

Mr. Siebel has authored more than two dozen influential reports and law review articles. He has lobbied on Capitol Hill, advised the White House on key gun initiatives, and has testified before state legislatures. Mr. Siebel has been interviewed on national, state and local television and radio news programs and been quoted extensively in the press.

Mr. Siebel obtained his J.D., summa cum laude, from American University, Washington College of Law in 1990.
