"Phall-X" Commercial Spoofs Male Enhancement Drugs

Posted: Updated:

Here's an early taste of what to expect from me and the other series creators of the upcoming Servitude: The Series, a scripted comedy about six servers in search of their dignity.

WATCH: A commercial for fictional male-enhancement supplement Phall-X, the unofficial/inappropriate "sponsor" for Servitude. The spot is slated for use in episode three of the series.

Five fellow artists and I had over 50 collective years of indentured service to the restaurant industry before we got tired of waiting for the phone to ring with acting work. We united behind a singular mission: tell the stories of the personal hell we and other servers had been living for far too long.

About the team:

"From diners to fine dining and from dive bars to Oscar parties, they served in the trenches with the best and worst of humanity and sold their souls for rent money to just about every kind of person one can imagine... Partly based on real stories -- and partly dredged from the twisted imagination of real servers -- the show follows six coworkers navigating impossible patrons... and their own failed dreams and incompetence. "

Art reflecting reality? You bet your ass.

The website went live with a teaser trailer on March 1, 2011 and Episode One, "Yeah... It's the Damn Pilot," premieres on Tuesday March 15th, 2011.
