yes, yes, I know you and everyone you know got a gown for under $100 and it was gorgeosity itself, but the average - *average* not *every* - bride spent a grand on her dress. these gowns are stunning, and look much more expensive than their given prices.

You know allot of upper wealth going to royal events or some business ball but beautiful all white wedding dresses with different desins signaling their importance to task of proper life ..When a friend of mine came over to change for her dinner with her now husband...She wore one of those wedding dresses careful chosen to match the normancies of evening gown wear.She was a big hit in society newspaper mention her in the news papers as a style trend.Very lovely ideas for a good price on quality gowns and weddingdresses...I didn't know it was until she told me it was a weddingdress, she chose from a department store.Only she wanted to wear it for a evening gown.She didn't have that much for a valentino and wanted to look sufficated and smart.

I was married back in 2008 and finding a dress under $1,000 wasn't difficult at all. I ended up buying two and both were from Alfred Angelo, so maybe that was why.

I suspect the underlying intent of these articles is to inure the public to the price shock. $800 dress? $500 handbag? $70 t-shirt? Sure!

Is that, seriously, the average price of wedding gowns now? Or is it more? Maybe I will never have a wedding then...If I had that kind of cash, I'd buy an investment property...or go on a crazy awesome vacation...

I found a dress I loved at Nordstrom's. Just for fun I looked at Ebay and there was the same dress with the tags still on it. I bought my $1k+ dress for $149. It looks gorgeous and I have enough money left over to brag about here on the Huffpost :)

Many people. Ever seen "Say Yes to the Dress"? It may seem frivolous to some but I'm fine with it if they have the disposal income to do so (which many do).
