Like H+M with Jimmy Choo and Topshop with Kate Moss, Petit Bateau has teamed up with Didier Ludot to launch a range of little black dresses, for women and girls.

The dresses are very '60s with names like Twiggy, Catherine and Tiffany and come in every size. Didier Ludot is renowned for his couture black evening wear which he will only sell to you if it fits perfectly. Silk baby doll style. Sexy strappy. He has a LBD for every type of woman.

This evening 'masstige' is the name of the game with Petit Bateau store in the magnificent Palais Royal gardens showcasing high end fur-shrugs alongside the new LBD range. A representative of Petit Bateau said there are more fashion partnerships in the pipeline.

Whilst the Petit Bateau brand is a high street one, it is a classic one that every mum chooses. Marion Cotillard, a new mum, is indeed a big fan. Maybe Carla Bruni will also be very soon.

With news of Lagerfeld launching a new Hennes range, this is great news for both designers and retail labels. Sign of economic squeeze? Or simply that fashion now needs to be everyone, not just the cash rich.

I will be wearing my new Twiggy A-Line number at the runways this week for sure!
