In the aftermath of John McCain's defeat in the 2008 US presidential election, American media outlets are issuing the same sorts of predictions, on the imminent death of the American Christian right as a political movement, that mainstream media outlets have floated periodically since the 1980's.
But reorganization within the movement has outstripped almost all media and journalistic scrutiny, and within the last two decades the American Christian right has vectored outwards to become a truly global mass membership movement, an international evangelical imperative.
Two videos presented here present two related faces of the new, now international, Christian right.
One is a 10 minute documentary in which I present the "Seven Mountains" imperative to reclaim key sectors of society. Top leaders in the Seven Mountains have made distinctive, noteworthy statements.
The second video, by Michael W. Wilson (not related to this author), features footage Wilson took during Lou Engle's November 1st, 2008 rally at San Diego's Qualcomm stadium. During the really, Engle calls for Christian martyrs.
There are real connections between the subject materials of these two videos:
Lou Engle is a member, along with Mary Glazier, of C. Peter Wagner's Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders.
Mary Glazier is the leader of the prayer group Sarah Palin joined in 1989 and which became part of C. Peter Wagner's Spiritual Warfare Network.
Wagner's 'valued personal friend', Thomas Muthee, anointed and blessed Sarah Palin in an October 16, 2005 ceremony held at Palin's church of over two decades, the Wasilla, Assembly of God in Wasilla, Alaska.
Muthee and Glazier, both personally tied to Sarah Palin, are also top leaders in the New Apostolic Reformation, under C. Peter Wagner.
Wagner's 500 apostles may preside over as many as 100 million Christians world wide.
One of C. Peter Wagner's apostles owns the Jakarta Tower, which will be among the top 10 buildings on Earth when projected to be completed in 2011.
The New Apostolic Reformation's rise in Brazil mirrors the precipitous decline in Catholic Church membership in Brazil, the fifth most populous nation on Earth.
New Apostolic Reformation ministries are developing partnership relationships with the United States Department of Homeland Security.
