For more than 50 years, the usual gang of idiots at MAD Magazine have been at the forefront of satirizing the most relevant issues and pop culture of the day. Sometimes, they're able to bring their hilarious brand of juvenile humor to both at the same time and it's even better when they are able to infuse them with politics.
DC Comics, the publisher of MAD Magazine, has offered Huffington Post an exclusive look at September's issue, where pop culture and politics collide. Actually, Barack Obama and Alfred E. Neuman collide.
This issue, sure to cause a row among the campaigns (except, perhaps McCain's -- MAD Magazine is well after his time), hits stands August 13th. Readers of this site are privy to an advance look at the cover and a pair of movie posters that sum up the shortcomings of the candidates in the next election.

O's the same age as Kathy Griffin.
This must be where Rick Davis and Steve Schaffer get their McCain ad ideas...
What you don't get is that Mad never used to put Alfred E on the cover satirizing aPresidential canidate. It was almost always a lighter situation, like a Beatles haircut. When they satirized JFK it was in a cartoon of his dealing with foreign heads of state. They did not make a buffoon out of him. This is where satire and parody has crossed the line and thus lacks the sophisticatication of intellect and wit it once had, esp. Mad and New Yorker. The old cartoonists have passed on and this is what they are left with. While I don'tlike McCain, I dislike satire that is mean-spirited. The Obama Alfred tears apart a serious message for a lot of folks who have lost faith in government. To reduce it to a joke is pathetic. It's one thing in the blogosphere, quite another in a magazine that requests my money. Obama is not a goofball, which is why that offends my sensibilities.
The way I look at it is this: Being mashed into Alfred E. Neuman means you've hit the big leagues. It's an honor. It's as big as being on the SImpsons.
This isn't vicious, it's petty, juvenile and jr. High. Which is MAD Magazine.
Hank Williams knew he had a major hiy only when Homer and Jethro did a parody of it.
Lol. pretty funny. I love Mad Magazine. :D
I love this site., This site is always good for a few laughs. I agree McCain is slipping in his old age, Obama is just a little too arrogent and Optimistic to me to be president. Neither has real idea's to fix our problems. Until they come up with solutions to fix our economy. McCain and Obama need better plans to fix our economy, and this energy crisis. The economy and energy go hand and hand. I mean it makes me sick to see these candidates getting side tracked when there are real issues to deal with. Did you see this video of Obama appearing with Ludicris the rapper? I understand that he is just trying to get the youth vote, but we are in such bad shape that candidates really shouldnt take time to pander about. The video is at http://www.TheObamaPlan.com Or take McCain for example. He took time off to have a whos who cook out. Not to mention the infamous viagra video moment. LOL, You can see that video at http://www.McCanes.com I dont think McCain is sharp enough to hold the office. I dont think Obama is realistic enough to hold the office. I guess we are just screwed. Unless you like Bob Barr or Ron Paul, there is alot of online talk of these two teaming up, their is even a website called BarrPaul08 its at http://www.BarrPaul08.com
Looks to me like you've really thought this trough, Pastor123. I can see that you are a deep thinker and not at all arrowgunt. Best of luck to you trying to navigate through this election and other stuff too, like walking and chewing gum, and so forth.
A Barr/Paul troll trying to sound informed. Now that's funny.
HuffPost's Pick
What I don't understand is why the electorate (or like this commenter, or why the media thinks the electorate) always wants a precise plan and promises to solve the nations problems from a presidential candidate, NO president has EVER fulfilled that. No president can. It's why they are president----THEY PRESIDE. They can direct Congress etc. but they can't rule by fiat like the current admin thinks they can. Oh the brilliance of the founding fathers idea of the 3 parts of governance and the checks and balances.
