Carl Sferrazza Anthony is Historian of the National First Ladies Library, and the author of several books including the two-volume history, First Ladies, a history of the role's evolution and political power, and individual biographies of Jacqueline Kennedy, Florence Harding and Nellie Taft. He's conducted interviews with many Presidents and their wives, written speeches for Nancy Reagan and the introduction to one of Hillary Clinton's books. He is a also frequent media commentator, giving historical context to current presidential event, most recently for ABC-TV's all-day Inauguration Day coverage.
