The Worst Sarah Palin Clip Yet

I can't get over this clip of Sarah Palin on CBS with Katie Couric. No, it's not her infamous Russia answer nor her inexplicable financial bailout response. It's not her latest admission that she doesn't really read any newspapers (my God woman, just name your local paper in Alaska! How dumb are you?). It's an overlooked clip from the original Couric interview about Hamas.

This answer should simply disqualify her from the race. Game over. Go home.

This is unacceptable. She has no idea what Hamas is or what their role in the Gaza Strip is. No idea. This person must not be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office. You must tell every voter in every swing state that we cannot make this kind of mistake. The greatest country on earth cannot allow a person this ignorant to be our leader. We have to be better than this.

Can anyone say with a straight face that Sarah Palin is the best and the brightest we have in this country? Would anyone dare insult America like that?

It's people like yourself Cenk, that can make a BIG difference in our country. I still can't believe that McCain could even be a little serious about becoming our next president, with this buffalo hunter by his side. I would like to think that,..aft­er he watched Obama's speech at the democratic convention­, the Oh $hits!!!,.­.went flying in his head,,,,as he thought, I'm dead.... I think he purposely pick the gun mull, to deliberate­ly take a grenade for Obama, and throw the election to the man he knows he can't beat.

Yes - she's terrifying­. And the fact that McSame selected her ABSOLUTELY speaks to his judgment and his abilities as a leader. He wants this so bad - and it has nothing to do with the country or the American people. He's like Bob Dole "... it's my turn dammit!" That's it. We should elect him because he wants to ride around on Air Force One.

Cenk, No kidding. This person is soooo unqualifie­d, unfit to lead the U.S.A. There is a strong possibilit­y that she could become our President. I agree with you, and try to tell some of my friends to wake up about this woman. The fact that I have friends actually planning to vote for this Pallin-McC­ain ticket, makes my blood run cold. Dear Brother Cenk,

If your eloquently expressed essay points out a truth in fact? And that is quite plain to see that it does, making your conclusion sound reasoning.
Then I have a question of import.
What does that say about Senator John McCain's judgement that He has chosen Governor Palin as His running mate? That indeed is a clear *RED FLAG* as to John McCain's qualificat­ions to hold the office of the Presidency­, eh? How many more bad decisions is John McCain going to make?
Are we really suppose to trust John McCain's critical reasoning skills, especially on the important decisions?

There should be at least a multiple choice test, at University level, about very basic facts regarding how our government functions and current events, given like a POP QUIZ to VP candidates­. This woman would not pass it, you know that's true---and then we could say "oops! She failed the entrance exam!!"

Cenk, I agree with you about the newspaper/­magazine names she should have said but the Supreme Court decsion about the Valdez was in her state interest and she was herself seen commenting on it and she couldn't remember from like less than a month's time? The various decisions over time about these types of issues and yet she hasn't got answer about what she reads or gets her informatio­n is a basic day to day but the Governor of the state in which a major oild spill happened and how it affected her state should have registered in her brain I would have thought.

I disagree.
This was typical Palin. Hard to know if she has ever studied or given any thought to the Hamas issue, or knows where the Gaza strip is.
What she was doing is appealing to the anti-Islam­o Fascist crowd, same as Cheney and Bush and Fox News do.
This is not the same kind of blatant ignorance she demonstrat­ed elsewhere in the interview, especially her response to the question about the bailout: "It's all about healthcare­."
Perhaps she's never given any thought to any of these issues nor even been interested enough to read about them.
I just read that Kouric turned the mike off a few times and once asked her off camera again if she could name some magazines and newspapers she read. Perhaps her political instincts sent up red flags and she knew she shouldn't say the N.Y. Times lest her base be offended; hence her non-answer­.
But then she offered Nightline and Lou Dobbs.Kati­e explained those are not magazines or newspapers­. Katie was charitable to have turned off the mike.

It is truly amazing that the handlers prepped her for the debate for weeks and that's as good as she got. I think her coaches kept going over and over the material, chanting "Drill, baby, drill." She has no insight and lacks a fundamenta­l interest and understand­ing of the issues that affect every American. And she's a governor..­...of a state whose airspace might be invaded by Putin.
