Charles E. Hill is Professor of New Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. His first degree was in Fine Arts (BFA, University of Nebraska), his last in Divinity (PhD, University of Cambridge). His academic books include Regnum Caelorum: Patterns of Future Hope in Early Christianity and The Johannine Corpus in the Early Church, both with Oxford University Press, and From the Lost Teaching of Polycarp. Identifying Irenaeus’ Apostolic Presbyter and the Author of ad Diognetum, with Mohr-Siebeck (Tübingen). He has written numerous articles for academic journals in New Testament and Early Christian Studies, is editing his second multi-author book, and has contributed many chapters to other edited volumes. He is a member of several professional societies, including the Society of Biblical Literature, Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas, and the Association Internationale d’Études Patristiques. Current research interests include the formation of the New Testament canon, papyrology, and Johannine Studies. His most recent book is Who Chose the Gospels? Probing the Great Gospel Conspiracy (Oxford University Press, 2010).
