Congress, and columnists as well as citizens can be caught up in micro issues and dangers other Blackwaters present, but lift your head from the paper long enough to see the long range macro dangers to our nation, international stability and alliances, as well as every nation's and occupied peoples right to self determination which is every human's right regardless of governmental political philosophy or structure.

Then imagine religious, corporate, and political groups be they insurgent or repressed opposition endangering civilians contracting these ultra military armies to do their bidding.

Outrageous, no, because as sure as you are reading this, it has been done for decades now.
Look up the International Human Rights list.

Correcting a typo, resulting in a mis-identification but everything written can be easily Googled & affirmed I encourage others to challenge.

As a macro-forward looking blogger, I see danger in a private former American military trained army as a threat to all nations because as a private army it can be contracted to execute missions for any nation at the right price.

Looking at America's past, imagine if then President Reagan, after being rejected by Congress had contracted a private army Blackwater, funded by its paid to glad hand in the oval office replete with photos and an overnight stay along with the declassified CIA's admission of the charges claimed by the community activist and former movie star/sports hero, Jim Brown joined by other ministers that crack cocaine was supplied by the CIA's network via North to the African American community in California to the then Crips and Bloods otherwise annoying street gangs turning the African American community into a national blood bath from coast to coast with the proceeds funneled thru the CIA's black ops bank, BCCI, then located in Atlanta Georgia to conduct its Iran Contra war missions and other missions without Congressional approval or knowledge?
This same danger that absolute power this presidency has engaged in since taking its oath of office, which it until to date was always given a retroactive immunity for, has proven the actual danger any observer of American presidential history will attest to is the every increasing future threat of a presidential coup de tat of our government some call a shadow government where superficially the public is fed democracy but in actuality exists under a totalitarian regime. All one has to do is look to Mugabe of Africa. Laugh but equalizing events, actions, and the effective closeted iron fist rule this president's actions that have been disclosed is not far from Mugabe's in a macro sense just as one compares the rights of today's citizens and workers with that of Pre Labor Movement and the rise of the Unions that birthed America's wealth and middle class.

Erik Prince...called...George Clooney?

Did he offer protection for George if George wants to film a movie in a "hot spot" in exchange for good PR?

Ummm, I thought the State Department was in charge of PR for Blackwater in exchange for protection in exchange for.... oh, yeah, that's right CASH.

Dear Charlie Rose,
Eric Prince is selling something. Who is buying? I myself am against non-governmental police and military forces on the loose. They will do what their employers tell them to do, not what is in the best interest of the democratic bodies who represent people. Since "contractors" make up over half of the US military we are well along the path to this scenario.
