As the race between the leading Democratic candidates intensifies, author John Grisham spoke to me tonight about why he feels Hillary Clinton is the right person to be president. We also talked about the publication of his 21st book, The Appeal, which marks his return to the legal thriller genre after a three year reprieve.
The entire conversation will be broadcast tonight on your local PBS station. You can see it tomorrow on the Charlie Rose website.

I love your show Charlie but I am disappointed at a second Clinton surrogate (including the infamous evening with Bill) - and you have hosted Richardson and Edwards. Are we going to get to see Obama in your candidate series?
I love Grishams work, great story teller. I do not agree with his choice in this area. So I'll keep reading his books and vote for my choice!
Blah blah about Grisham.
Hillary is trying to say she won Florida right now, but no delegates were cast to either side. So she is a big loser there. And she was a supporter of the DNC with the Florida delegates not counting. And now she want them to count? Como Se Dice "Flip Flopper" en espanol?
And the numbers indicate that she actually would have lost Florida. The votes stared being cast in December. Before the nasty reality of Clinton's campaign. She is not really winning or gaining a lot fo ground. Her wins to Barack are barely there wins and he is taking more delegates than her.
Boooo Hillary. And booo fiction writers. As if Grisham is as good as a Teddy Kennedy endorser anyway.
Scandalous Candice Team Obama.
On Charlie Rose last night, ABC reporter returning from Iraq said almost every soldier she spoke to was for Obama! Watch it for yourself. Of course charlie is close to clintons so he wouldn't put that on his blog.
Yeah if you not a person of color.
Great minds think alike.
thank you John Grisham and Charlie Rose, for making the comments that a lot of us are having that aren't being reported. I'm still holding out for John Edwards who I think has the most life experience to handle the rigors of office, but I really agree with Grisham that the wonderful, spectacular Obama lacks the real world experience to become the greatness of his promise. Hillary has grown from this campaign and there are many of us who are offended by those who seek to raise Obama up by putting down the Clintons. They do so at their own peril and that of the Democratic party.
