I just spoke with Pulitzer-prize winning author and Obama foreign policy adviser Samantha Power about her new book. It's called Chasing the Flame: Sergio Vieira de Mello and the Fight to Save the World. I asked her about what lessons she'd learned from Vieira de Mello's life and how they figured in her views of Senator Obama. Here is what she said:

I am impressed with Obama's knack for attracting and selecting top drawer talent to his team, and I hope Ms Powers will continue to lend credibility to his vision and execution of foreign policy.

I saw this interview today and was very impressed by Ms Powers. She will be a great part of the Obama team.
