As Chancellor of the City Colleges of Chicago, Cheryl Hyman is leading the Reinvention of one of America’s largest community college systems. A graduate of City Colleges and board member of the national nonprofit Complete College America, the former vice president of ComEd returned to her alma mater in 2010 on a mission to increase student success. Under her leadership City Colleges has launched its College to Careers initiative, which partners industry leaders with faculty to align curricula with growing fields and close the skills gap.
