This Week In eBay Obsessions: Sequins

I don't know any girl who didn't swoon at least a little bit at the site of YSL's sequin pieces for fall. Granted, the drama factor was high, but one look at those shimmering high-waisted black trousers made me absolutely certain I couldn't possibly face fall without a little sparkle in the mix. I scored my own totally perfect vintage black sequin jacket on eBay for about $50, but a little tank or sequin purse could do the trick, too. Here are a few other finds to satisfy a new sequin fix--sans the tack factor.

Vintage Wool-felt Hat with Sequins--The white-on-white keeps this topper from being too flash. Bid here. End Date: 8/26.

Sequin Sailor Top--Naughty nautical? Even so, totally cute in place of the cotton classic. Bid here. End date: 8/27

Vintage Sequin Purse--Loving the unexpected pattern, not to mention the hands-free 40-inch-long strap. Bid here. End Date: 8/26.

Vintage Sequin Dress--Okay, this could potentially be a bit much, but the easy shape and super sexy scoop back is too good to resist. End date: 8/27.

Sonia Rykiel Sequin Tank: Beyond perfect and way worth the heftier price tag. You'll wear it forever. End date: 8/28.

You're gonna miss a LOT of items on eBay if you don't search for "sequence" in addition to "sequins". Don't ask me why, but sellers seem to have a problem with that word. I've noticed it for years and I kid you not, it has spread. I just did a search in ladies clothing for "sequence" and it brought up almost 140 items. I'm not a member of the spelling police, but how are you gonna sell your stuff if people can't find it?
