Christian Fuchs is Communications Director of Jesuit Refugee Service/USA. Previously he was Director of Multimedia at The Washington Times. In 2008, Christian was part of a team at the paper that was awarded the Society of Professional Journalists' Public Service Award for its investigative series "Disposable Heroes." Christian previously held positions as photo editor and staff photographer at newspapers in D.C., Virginia, Texas and Florida.

Christian is a U.S. Navy veteran. Trained in print and broadcast journalism, Christian worked as a television producer and director at bases on Crete and Diego Garcia. His next assignment took him to Tokyo, where he worked as an editor at Stars & Stripes for several months, before becoming a staff photographer at the newspaper.

Christian received his B.A. from the University of South Florida and his M.A. from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
