"Welsh Rats," 2013, Oil on Linen, 70x44". 'Welsh Rats' is a reference to John Steinbeck's East of Eden and is the anglicization of the german word 'Weltschmerz', or 'world-pain'. It is a visual confusion of imagery and history; a contemporary chimera. From 'Welsh Rats' solo exhibition, Robischon Gallery, Denver, CO, March 14- May 4th 2013.
