I wrote a story last month noting that President-elect Barack Obama had broken the record for number of press conferences held by an incoming POTUS.

Since then he's shattered every record imaginable.

His morning presser today marked No. 11 since he won the White House.

During his first, on Nov. 7, Obama called on 9 reporters.

This month he is averaging 3 or 4 questions each time.

I've been keeping a tally of who gets called on:

He has fielded four questions each from CBS, Associated Press and Reuters.

He has fielded three questions each from the New York Times, Chicago Tribune and Bloomberg News.

He has taken two questions each from NBC, CNN, ABC, Politico, Chicago Sun-Times, Wall Street Journal, the Chicago ABC affiliate, National Public Radio and USA Today.

He also has taken one question each from Fox News (my story noting that here), Telemundo, McClatchy, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, New York Daily News, the Chicago NBC affiliate, Des Moines Register and Denver Post.

He also did a sit-down interview with the Chicago Tribune last week.

For the record, The Washington Times hasn't gotten a question yet, but in all fairness, I have only been in Chicago for half of the press conferences. He called on me many times during the campaign and I have no doubt he will again.

I wish this phrase and this word would disappear from our lexicon "My Friends" and "Meme"

Regarding the MSM, they wring their hands about the Iraq war but where were they in 2002? Same to with the Patriot Act and FISA etc. They then say 'we need to do a better job." When will that be. They havetotally ignored the question answer from Obama on Change.gov and the fact that he basically stiffed those that asked him about marijuana legalizatioon. It was THE top question out of 10,000 questions this isn't a childs game or about wanting to get high. It is about freedom and civil liberties. Thye drug war is a fraud and more so with the war on marijuana users.

He stiffed those on ganja legalization? He answered the question. He is not for it. Civil liberties my butt cheeks. If people want it, they can get it. They may get arrested, but you can still get it. And just because it was THE top question does not mean it is THE priority for sober Americans. People like you shout legalize it all the time, but what is your plan to convince the rest of America that it should be legalized? How do you convince them that Mary jane is not a gate way drug? You think it's a good idea that Obama - who is Black and has been painted by the GOP as some kind of Liberal hippie - to legalize marijuana? Yeah, Obama wants his entire agenda pushed to the side due to the scandal that will arise from such a decision. I can see it now. Obama, father to two little girls, former drug user encouraging your children to do drugs. The big black boogie man will not only teach sex to kindergartens, but show them how to roll a blunt. You all must be on smack too.

Hey, send this article to your buddies in the media. This seems to be lost on them. The new meme now is that Obama is the next Bush when it comes to questions from the press. It's funny when they talk about transparency and NEVER bring up change.gov. Some of you never learn. The pressed slept on Obama during the primaries, focusing on nonsense while he builds his astounding ground game. He's doing it again and the MSM is missing the boat once again.
