Posted: 02/27/2012 12:33 am

HerHighway took to the streets to test drive the 2012 Acura ZDX on the highway, neighborhood streets then on the countryside roads and boy did we make the neighbors jealous.

If you can't decide between a versatile crossover and a sexy sport coupe, take a spin in the 2012 Acura ZDX. A unique blend of both types of vehicles, it's fast, functional and downright sexy. Plus the ZDX is a blast to drive and comes with a great warranty!

In engineering the ZDX, Acura started with the platform, wheelbase and standard all-wheel drive system of its popular crossover, the Acura MDX, and sculpted a stylish, lower profile luxury coupe-style exterior. The end result is a one-of-kind, high-performance four-door beast with a 300 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 and an impressive list of standard features. Even with all of those horses under the hood, the ZDX won't punish your purse at the gas pump; it manages an estimated 16 city and 23-highway mpg.

Inside the lavishly appointed cabin, the ZDX wraps you in quality materials and creature comforts. Standard features include heated leather power front seats with driver's seat memory; a tilt/telescoping steering wheel; leather-clad dashboard and steering wheel; a six-CD stereo with satellite radio and a USB connector for controlling MP3 players and Bluetooth streaming audio. Also standard is the handy backup camera, which displays its image on the rear-view mirror.

Looking for more luxury and high-tech features? Step up to one of the ZDX's two upgrade "packages." The Technology Package adds elegant Milano leather upholstery, a navigation system with real-time traffic data and automatic rerouting, plus weather updates and maps. The nav system's 8-inch screen also serves as the monitor for the rear backup camera. Keyless entry and keyless engine ignition are also included.

The top of the line Advance Package elevates your ZDX driving experience with ventilated front seats, adaptive cruise control, premium tricot ceiling liner material, a special sport steering wheel, plus LED ambient lighting. To protect you and your passengers, the 2012 ZDX's standard safety features include front and side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control and a sophisticated all-wheel drive traction control system.

Believe it. The 2012 Acura ZDX is truly a unique hunk of automotive engineering. More importantly, you would look and feel great driving it! Explore more of the ZDX's high-tech options (like the optional Collision Mitigation Braking System) as well as pricing and dealer availability by visiting the manufacturers website.
