e·go

[ee-goh, eg-oh]

noun, plural e·gos.

1. The "I" or self in any person.

The way I see it, it is the fear of faith.

As human beings, it is impossible not to be egotistical. We are the most selfish, arrogant, and stubborn animals that ever was created. However, it is the ego that keeps us running. It is the ego that put our selves before others.

We want to control. We are the protagonist, of course, in our lives. But the problem is we want to be the writer too. We want to control uncontrollable things or at least we like to think we do.

As we've become more egotistical as a society, there is lack of connection and faith. We are too scared to believe that the world is in favor that we, human beings, prefer to believe that the world is against us and we have the control and decide what the outcome is down to the detail. We've made ourselves Gods. But are we? As we continue to worship money, fame, and stature, do you believe you have control of your life? Every single aspect of it?

There is not one person in this world that can call themselves humble, even the ones we consider them to be. We continue to think with our ego, talk with our ego, and act with our ego. And when we do, we often forget to have faith, to forgive, to love, and to appreciate.

We often judge certain celebrities with their behaviour. But who am I to judge? I chase after financial wealth, I chase after worldly things and when I achieve them, there are times I believe I did it all by myself. How am I better than Kanye West saying he's the best?

Ego is ran by fear. Fear that someone else has control over your life. Fear of faith. Fear of defeat.

But think about how comical that is. We already know that we can't control everything in our lives. Do not fear to let go. Do not fear to admit defeat. Do not fear to have faith.

When you are filled with fear, it is because you believe you control the consequences. Relax. You do not control the outcome. Only actions.

Only it is when you get over your fear, you start being honest and your most authenticated self. Be amazed with who you actually are not who you think you are.
