Christopher Silver, Ph.D., FAICP, is professor and dean of the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction and Planning. His research of urban development and decentralization in Indonesia spans 25 years, during which time he authored or co-authored five books, including Planning the Megacity: Jakarta, Indonesia in the Twentieth Century. In 2012, he was awarded with the Ganesa Award by the Bandung Institute of Technology, recognizing his contributions and involvement with the institute and Indonesia in higher education, specifically in the fields of urban and regional planning and development.
