Claire Tomkins is an expert in clean technology, energy, water and sustainability, with a background in engineering and IT. She has held executive positions in the public and private sector, managing work on resource efficiency and clean energy development, including solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, wind, nuclear, geothermal, electric vehicles, building efficiency, materials and water. In 2009, she directed the study, Redefining What’s Possible for Clean Energy by 2020, produced by a team of top venture capitalists, academics and business leaders. Claire has over nine years of management experience, leading high-performance teams in academia, venture capital, business, and philanthropy. She holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Management Science & Engineering and has been named a National Science Foundation Fellow, an Environmental Venture Program grant recipient, and a 2010 Kauffman Fellow.
