Being in the internet marketing industry, I know how important it is to have a good quality, reliable and portable video camera.

Sometimes you may want to record an impromptu video at SXSW with someone that can offer value to your readership, or take Lewis Howes, for example - he is always making videos in noisy public places allowing for a stronger relationship to grow with his target audience.

I was on the lookout for such a camera, and it wasn't until I saw Loic LeMeur talk about the Kodak Zi8 that I realized how far handheld video cameras had come.

I thought I'd show you some footage of me messing around with the camera in the south of Spain.

Concusion

The Kodak Zi8 pocket video camera is brilliant. It's night time quality is not the best by any means, but it does record stunningly clear video in a full 1080p resolution during the day and in the evening.

It's most powerful feature is its 60 frames per second recording. We're not yet used to seeing that many frames per second in the internet marketing industry so it makes for a refreshing change. The only down side to 60fps video for internet marketers is that the only mainstream video platform that allows for this frame rate is Viddler, and this also brings with it massive processor overheads. Hopefully in the future we'll see more 60fps support as video cameras improve across the board.

All in all, this camera will definitely turn heads.
