I was very surprised at Arianne getting cut but I don't really know what a Top Chef is expected to know and it sounds as if butchering is a needed skills. In addition to that she didn't seem to understand the protein she was working with, according to the judges. I'm sorry she was put off the show but she did well while she was there. She seems to have an excellent palate and she did produce some winning dishes while she was in the game. Anyone who can impress Martha Stewart can't be bad and Arianne should be very proud of her hard work and performances. Bravo!
Her teammates, Leah in particular, seemed to contribute little. When Leah did help with the lamb she was not interested in doing a good job and it showed. I'm sure that affected the cooking process as well. It doesn't say much for her that she was not going to speak up and claim her share of the screw up.
The boyfriend seemed totally unaware that he should have done the butchering since he was experienced in that area. That was kind of amazing.
I have to say that I enjoy the show in spite of some of the controversial judges decisions.
I watched this last night. I hate that Arian was cut. Yes, she did a terrible job last night, but she's been a consistent winner. She is a better chef than 3/4 of the people there. Her teammates rather than step up to create a good team meal, let her fail so that they could stay. Hosea or Lea should have gone home. Not Arian.
