This is very disrespectful to pumpkins, to the blessing of food, and to the fact that there are millions starving in the world today. Meanwhile, millions of Americans slaughter and otherwise waste pumpkins that could go on to provide healthy nourishment for them. While at the same time favouring antibiotic injected beef hamburgers over healthy vegetables like pumpkin.

Punkin's ain't so bad. There're U.S. Senators and Representives who act and speak as if they would like to load the catapaults, air cannons and whirly-gigs with the unemployed and hungry.

Couldn't agree more. Food is supposed to be sacred and not taken for granted. This is part of a disgusting trend that includes, the TV show Man v. Food, the annual tomato fight in Europe and all you can eat buffet restaurants that promote gorging. What is wrong with people?

Bucky,

Sorry.
A trebechet is an ancient catapult that was used to batter opposing buildings, castles and other structures, including people, in ancient times. If you want to see one in action, go to youtube and type in "The Flying Cow". You'll see what I mean.
