Sadly, you will just get the greedy people who will just release the cat after they would get the ipad. Giving them away to people who already have cats, well, that would be better, for me anyway.

I've never seen how these iPads work. Boy they're the coolest thing! I'm as curious as the cats. If I had one, my Manny, he'd beat one up with his big kitty paws. Then he'd try to eat it.

Developers need to come up with a screen that resembles a litter box.

>>>>>Wet blanket ALERT>>>>>

I do not like this one bit. During the first year of having my first cat I used a laser pointer for endless entertainment. Until one day it occurred to me that it was stressing the cat out (she would make the most awful sounds) and that she was far more concerned and kept searching for the little red dot far longer afterwards than playing with a mouse on a string. I came to realize that it was the lack of satisfaction in actually catching the "prey" that kept her agitated for hours after playing. It began to feel cruel that she couldn't ever catch it. With the mouse on a string, she eventually wins, sits on the toy/bats it around a bit and moves contentedly on.

I appreciate your "Wet blanket alert" :)

Agree. Plus there is the insanity factor. I used to use one on my cat until it began to seem as if she started acting not just stressed, but a little crazed. The red dot didn't act like "prey" her evolutionary background had prepared her for - it didn't smell or provide any tactile sensations, and it would suddenly just "disappear" and appear out of thin air. She responded not only with frustration, but a definite sense of confusion and freaking out. So I put my laser mouse away cause I got the sense it was not good for her emotional health.

I kinda question the wisdom of letting a cat anywhere near a $700 tablet computer, but hey, that's just me.

Exposing cats to Apple products is animal abuse, IMO. Somebody call PETA.

One of the few good uses for a tablet.

An $800 cat toy.

I guess you don't have a recording studio.

Or have your pilot's license.

Nor are you a teacher or a programmer...

But yeah, if all you do is browse the web and check email, and generic PC should be plenty for you...

It's the other way around, RV.

Tablets are mostly consumption tools. They are not serious tools for serious work. And I am a GUI designer for a major developing contractor.
