I always start with the fact that there has never been a republican that I have or would vote for but until Buddy Roamer said he would ask joe, the sell, out, liberman to be his running mate, I've really like him. If he could ever get on a televised debate, he could talk about campaign reform because no one else is going to but he should try to get Bernie Sanders to run with him for his Unity Party idea

I voted for a Republican Gov. in Minnesota named Arne Carlson. He was a moderate and very common sense. He was an excellent gov. I sure would have voted for him again after Tim Pawlenty stripped Minnesota of all the kindness and wilderness and good government. Pawlenty is a religous nut snake.

Of all the GOP Presidential wannabes, not one of them has done more to defend the sanctity of marriage more than Newt Gingrich. And he has done it three times. So there!

This episode in Newt's public life is reminiscent of the old Mel Brooks movie "The Producers" where the cunning Bialystock and his accountant team up to get-rich-quick by putting on the worst show ever...then finding that the "worst show" is a big hit.

New't probably ran for the nomination to increase his profile, speaking fees, book sales -- never dreaming Republicans would turn to him as a viable presidential candidate. Now, what's he going to do? Try to win it? Make Calista First Lady? Will Republicans really nominate such an ethics-challenged candidate? (We Dems can only hope.)

Newt Gingrich's most significant liability is Newt Gingrich.

And his second most significant liability is Barney Frank, who is going to rake this guy over the coals so much, so cleverly, and so eloquently over the next several months that Gingrich is going to wish that he hadn't ever crawled out of his rat hole.

"What behind Gingrich's new rise?"

Possibly another girl friend? Hope he's not working too hard for Calista's sake.

"And in Iowa, the candidates with the fewest endorsements and the least support in public polls -- Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum -- are seen as having the strongest campaign organizations."

These candidates, along with Newt and Cain, are each rolling the dice and hoping to be lucky. I suspect one of the purposes of the extra long R and T campaign season is to make sure they are too well known to succeed in the pandering that usually goes on in Iowa.
