Too early to say that and GM as well as Ford is up in initial quality surveys. The company is public again and while I like Ford's survival story a lot more, it's hard not to root for GM, either.

Yes everyone wants one of those. Give me a 4x4 Jeep or the like for my family. If were in an accident I want to win. I owe it to my kids. It should be endangering the welfare of a child to put them in one of those electric death traps

back in the day of the electric cable car ,GM, standard oil and goodyear bought up all the electric cable cars and replaced them with gm buses using standard oil and goodyear tires. they were busted for a monopoly, though by then it was too late

And I was exceptionally worried for nothing, that Hollywood would need to come up with an alternative to the dramatic gasoline explosion for every car wreck. I was thinking, what would a high-speed car-chase scene be like that didn't end in a massive fireball? That would be soo boring.

Thank God! One less thing to worry about.
04:11 PM on 12/01/2011
Hollyweirdos aren't going to buy the electric cars they want everyone else to drive. They'll still get around in SUVs and limos.
03:35 PM on 12/01/2011
well, that's just shocking!! .............ALSO,consider they source of the buy back funds.......taxpayer money...

Taxpayers contributed $7500 for EACH of these pieces of junk. And that's not counting the 24 billion in taxpayer funds lost down the holes of GM and Chrysler. How's that 'green energy car' thang workin' out for those of us who actually PAY federal income taxes?

Better get with the program. These American car companies nearly went belly up. Other car companies have been making better, more desirable cars. Stick to your partisanship beliefs while the world overtakes you, Luddite.

well gosh you clearly haven't read the reviews: oh yeah it runs 35 miles on a charge! Unless you use the a/c..........or the heater.....or the radio....or what Edmunds said: Questionable value; small backseat for two people only; touchy brakes; no power front seats; home charger is a necessity...or car and driver: Expensive, heavy, not-great economy when running on gas, a bit short on back-seat and cargo space.

I'll take my 45 mpg volkswagen TDI with no exploding batteries anyday, thanks! And its half the price of the Volt.
