Why? I admire them for Finding something else To Get their Fellow Brother and Sisters $

And remember they said the same about Rock and Roll when it came out , even Elvis Was Not Shot from his Hipps Down on Ed Sulavian Show..

Only problem o give them some Slack..

Don't these people know that those who are old enough to appreciate this show will be asleep when it airs? haha

I guess I'll have to catch it as a rerun during primetime. I love shows like this because they always give me a little more insight into the songs that I grew up listening to on the radio. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to MTV! I will actually have a reason to watch that channel again.

I'm old enough to appreciate the show lol and I happen to be a night owl.. Shows like this only prove to tell the truth on our entertainment industry...What we had in the past was the best of the best. What we have today is simply crap. We had true talent and the artists took pride in what they did.. Bands were formed in a basement or a garage back in the day. It was an awesome time and today's kids have no clue to what real talent is.. Real talent is not manufactured, you either have it, or you don't...

Yeah in the 60-70's, you were either a Hippie or Into R&R-Stones

Thank God The BEATLES brought both sides together
Otherwise we'd still have all those Hippies living off The Land and The rest of us that work for a Living..

The Modern day Hippies? Those OWS kidsdoing all that protesting..That The rest of us won't pay their student loans off for them

laughing at all the posters that hate rap- you are so funny. you hate it so much, why post? isnt there enough negativity in the world- and online.
Contribute something positive to the world like Fab Five did, and continues to do.
Oh, you dont have to like it, or listen to it, but get over the fact that it is here for GOOD.

I remember the days when Fab, Patti Astor, Rock Steady Crew, Futura2000, LEE, Zephyr and I (one of the only female graffiti artists at the time) would be at the FunHouse Gallery on 10th and 1st ave, art, music, food, and laughter- creativity at its finest!

more mindless garbage on tv, I am ready to cancel my cable & throw my tv in the TRASH. Whatever happened to the television shows of old, we the older generation have the most people & pay most of the bills but we get nothing anymore that we like. nothing but junk on the tv anymore, it sucks.

Wake up! This isn't rocket science. The sponsors advertise to who is going to buy their products. Unless you're in the 18-49 age segment, you do NOT pay most of the bills! If you did, then TV would make shows that appeal to you. It's that pure and simple.

NEXT!

What is the average age on this page? 16? Yo, bring back the classics. At least that's music. We're sick and tired of reality shows. What is the "M" in MTV??
12:49 PM on 12/04/2011
Yuk! Another show that I won't be watching.

Damn Freakin, seem to have hit a nerve here. If you have an opinion, let's hear it. It would be much more constructive than just reacting to other folk's comments. I'm guessing you are of the opinion that Rap is....ahh Music? I'm just sayin.

They don't read or write any sheet music; they don't play any instruments; they don't sing any songs. So how exactly is this defined as a style of music?

Music isn't exclusively defined by anything you've listed above. Music is an audible artistic expression. It may have harmony but doesn't require it. It may have rhythm and/or syncopation but doesn't require it. It has never needed to be expressed by man-made instruments or be quantified by written symbols.
