The gopers are very open about their desire to dismantle the middle class. If they can't even protect people from the unscrupulous practices of lenders in this country, what good are they? Vote straight democratic in 2012--and no blue dogs.

Who said the government should protect people from themselves, they're adults and can make their own decisions and live with the consequences, the right to do so is the essence of a free society.

The banks are cheaters. Period. Have you not heard about the robo signing of mortgage applications, putting false info on mortgage apps, lying to applicants. I'm with you if the lenders weren't dishonest but since they aren't we need something to hold them back from their criminal behavior. I could give you a million links but just watch 60 Minutes from last Sunday for just a snippet.

Republicans intend to vote against the nominee so that 400% cash loans will continue in all 50 states. Republicans are carrying banners today saying "Consumers don't count"

The loans can only continue as long as people choose to buy them, which they do of their own free will.

Hey middle class - the GOP wants you to pay higher taxes next year so people making more than a million dollars a year don't have to see an increase. The GOP also wants to make sure that the banks and credit card companies can continue to operate with impunity in pushing predatory loans, foreclosing without due process and generally raking you over the coals by ensuring that the agency created to protect you stays without leadership and underfunded.

Still think voting GOP is a good idea?

Unfortunately, many GOPer voters can't accept that their party of choice no longer represents them; they represent tyranny and destruction of the middle class.

Can you provide the links to proposed legislation by the Republicans that support your allegations?

I didn't think so.

You are confused. The GOP's doing nothing or refusing to do anything supports the allegations. No need for any legislation to be written, just make sure none passes.

But I think you already knew that, didn't you?

Umm... the story this was posted on was about the GOP refusal to even consider Richard Cordray as the nominee for the Consumer Protection Agency (which was my 2nd point). No link should be necessary since I have assumed that you must have read the article in order to see my comment.

Regarding my first point, there are too many links to include in my response This one should suffice: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-reich/republican-tax-plan_b_1130144.html

I don't want a bi-partisan board! If every (and I hope not) Republicans gain power in Washington, they would cry like babies is Dems do the same things!
