Obama has a knack for coasting after scoring...McCain literally accused him of treason
and Obama response was "I never accused him of this stuff".Appalachia average
education is 10th grade, which may be 30% of the votes. You cant complain to them
some one is attacking you...they only understand if you attack them back more vigoriously.

What is sooo impressive to me is that O being a Harvard trained attorney, enjoys his training ... lawyers are well trained in adversity, O knows what verbal battles to fight & how ... masterfully! O is also calm (seems naturally so) he presents his argument and listens ... that in and of itself disarms any so-called opponent!

Mc "thinks" he has an opponent ............... Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Those uneducated people will never vote for O. Ever. Too much fear and lack of education. It would be ridiculous for O to even try to get their votes. It's the young and new voters we're after. Obama08

fear and racism. no amount of talking to some of those people will turn them. they'd rather vote to continue their sink into shanties with no glass in the windows than vote for someone of color. they proudly gave those interviews in the primaries, remember?

It was bizarre. He kept talking in circles trying to justify that which was unjustifiable.

O'bama during press conference today:

"In terms of [Mc Cain's] comment about that maybe 16 months sounds good, we are pleased to see that there has been some convergence around proposals that we've been making for a year and a half. The fact that J ohn Mc Cain now thinks that we should put more troops into Afghanistan I think is a good thing and that the B ush administration acknowledges that as well. I have been talking about that since last year. The fact that the B ush administration assigned B ill B urns, an outstanding diplomat, to get involved in the talks surrounding Iran, something I've been advocating for for over a year and a half, I think that's a good thing.
The fact that J ohn Mc Cain now thinks that it's possible for us to execute a phased withdrawal, I think that's a positive thing and if the administration believes that as well, then I will, I will be fully supportive. You know, the point I've made throughout the course of this trip is that a lot of these foreign policy issues have been seen through a prism of politics and ideology for too long, and part of the reason I think you're seeing some convergence is that reality is asserting itself and you can't argue with facts, and I think the issues are so important, the stakes are so high that I welcome any movement that gets our foreign policy right for the future."

Excellent example of how to frame an issue.

McFwustwated must have been taking too many naps to pay attention to how O handled the prim.aries and the "twofer the price of one" candi.date running against him.

He out shined and out ran a name brand with a huge pol.it.ical machine behind it.

McFwustwated is flummoxed by the O factor. He doesn't seem to grasp that he spends just as much time talking about O as the media does. That strategy didn't work well for either C.

O has more stamina, better instincts, better discipline, intelligence and he generates more interest.

Why her? Why not Sebilius? Why not Clark or Edwards? Just curious. It's one thing to push for someone to be a VP, but at least make the case for her rather than tell us that time is critical and wanting us to rush to sign on to some mailing.

John edwards is in trouble and has been for a long time. I just hope
the story about him having a baby with his mistress is not true.
think abou Elizabeth she is sick. So I really hope it's not true. Clark
would not be a bad choice but I still like Wexler.

How about Napolitano. A woman with executive experience who is a strong advocate for education. Up until this year, all of Arizona's budgets have been balanced (with the housing crisis and national economic down turn I admit that it's not likely to happen this year). She's a former attorney general. She's articulate. She's popular. And having a VP choice from Az. could help Obamas chances in the West/Southwest (and what a poke in the eye it would be for McCain to have a fellow Arizonan on the opposing ticket!).

Shock and Awe - O bama organization style. From KansasCity.com:

"How much would B arack O bama love to win Missouri?

Let us count the staffers… 148, 149, yes, 150 …

The Democrat’s campaign said Tuesday it is tripling its paid staff — to an unprecedented 150 workers, who will fan out from 30 field offices across the state, from West Plains to Maryville.

“It’s unheard of,” veteran Democratic worker Woody Overton of Kansas City said of the effort and expenditure.

“It’s unbelievable.”

“Desperate” is the adjective J ohn Mc Cain’s camp uses.

“When you feel like you have to put that many people in the state to cover it, means you think you’re in trouble and you have to have a surge,” said Jack Jackson, Mc Cain’s Missouri co-chairman.

Recent polls indicate the race in Missouri is close.

Mc Cain’s operation expects to have 12 to 14 full-time workers and 10 offices. The Arizona Republican now has four people on the ground."

Amazing. The press takes a simple story like, O bama puts 150 staffers out in a state. He's serious about winning the state. It's close. There's your story. And where does the "reporter" go in this article? "Shock and Awe" "Let us count the staffers" "Surge"

Ugh. I wish our media would grow up.
