Clearly the Mitt has lost one vote. Not that it matters, these "elections" are rigged IMO.

Thanks for the warning!

I know I have a double out there somewhere--when I was 15, my parents almost picked up this other girl instead of me from church.

Matt - you seem somewhat clueless about this. Don't you realize this has been going on for years and years for many different kinds of people?

It's been like this for blacks and other minorities since the beginning of the republic. Only now--with economic collapse approaching--do middle class whites get a taste of it as well.

Obama comes to Ohio to speak to the public, But if you are not on the guest list you are not part of the public. So if you are unhappy with the act by the security at romneys event are you as mad about the way Obamas events are run? I disagree with both, but I am willing to be fair about it and not to try to demonize one for what the other is doing as well. Are you as willing to be fair?

As President, the Secret Service must set the guidelines for his meetings for obvious and historical reasons. I do not believe Romney has SS protection.

Sure be fair, At Obama's you had to be on a guest list. So your name is on it, you are in. At Romney's event it was open to anyone in the public and then he decides who can watch his speech and who not. MMH, Now what's fair right?

Matt,
In spite of all your education, you have apparently failed to learn one important thing. The rich can hire the police to harass and arrest your a ss. Sorry... That is how America works.

A very well written accounting by Matt Bieber. I think Matt is also giving us an insight into what America will turn into IF Romney becomes President.

Basically we will have to prove our innocence because we will be judged guilty by an administration that considers the fact that they have reasonable suspicion is enough to convict. AND now they have the right of indefinite detention which was just passed by our government, see the picture?

Below is an excerpt from this article
---------------------------------------------------
"Nearly four hours after all of this began - after time spent in an actual cell, and then even more time back in the cage - the bail commissioner arrived. He set up an arraignment date, drove me to an ATM so I could extract the $40 bail commissioner's fee, and dropped me off at my car. And as he let me out of the car, he repeated the officers' advice from earlier: "Don't hang around this area." Apparently, even hours after the event had ended, the Romney campaign and the local police were still present, nibbling away at my freedoms."

Ironic how they extracted the $40 fee AFTER trampling all over Matt's constitutional rights isn't it?
Talk about adding insult to injury.

#6 on the list

6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

This story may or may not be true. We only see one side. Sometimes people cause problems to create publicity.I would like to think that our law enforcement officers do a better job than this.
03:59 AM on 01/15/2012
Truth is, I wish that officers did a better than this, but experience has taught me otherwise. While 'serve and protect' is often painted on their cars, I repeatedly witnessed events that show this to be meaningless and farcical. Although I have never been arrested, I have been threatened at my place of business by police, I have witnessed arrests of people just standing and watching events (very similar to this story), and have been repeatedly stopped and frisked over the years because I 'didn't look right' (still not sure what that means.) Again, I have never actually been arrested, but I never trust police to act as my mother told me they would when I was a child.

In the absence of any evidence to contradict the account, why would you assume that? Don't you remember Bush's rallies where people were not even allowed to wear a "Kerry" button if they wanted to get in to see the president speak? Welcome to the GOP's idea of "freedom and liberty" in the 21st century.

Because the actions of the police do not meet the smell test. There would have to have been much more to the incident than the way it was written for the officers to respond as they did. Try using a bit of logic regarding this. Before any of us assign guilt to this we should hear both sides of the incident.
05:30 PM on 01/16/2012
And when Obama campaigned in Florida, one of his aides asked a group of reporters, "Who's voting for Obama?" Anyone who said they were (I believe there were two) got to accompany Obama and his entourage on a little photo op.

The rest of us, who didn't respond one way or the other to that ridiculous question, were not allowed to go along.

Sadly, this sort of thing happens in both parties.
