THE REALITY IS...THAT TODAY...THERE ARE MORE TAKERS THEN GIVERS. BILL...YOU HAVE TO ADMIT...THE ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY HAS TAKEN OVER THIS GENERATION & WORKING HARD LIKE YOUR PARENTS DID....ISN'T APPRECIATED ANY LONGER WHEN IT'S SO EASY TO GET ONTO THE GRAVEY TRAIN. YOU'RE THINKING LEAVES OUT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERYONE TO HELP THEMSELVES BEFORE BECOMING BURDENS ON OTHERS.

The "entitlement" that our parents and grandparents worked for was getting a livable day's wage for a day's labor.

Today, that ethic has been turned upside down by corporate greedheads and predators who have seized on the down economy to bring America to its knees and create a permanent low wage work force.

American workers discovered that the "new economy" created by people like Mitt Romney and the billionaire Koch brothers offer low pay, no pensions and zero health care coverage while the exploiters screech loudly about taxes, most of which they manage to avoid.

Maybe you can explain why U.S. Big Oil companies, for example, EXPORTED $88 billion worth of domestic oil to foreigners last year while simultaneously receiving billions in taxpayer-paid-for subsidies, aka "entitlements" while bleeding our citizens dry and manipulating the oil market.

Maybe you can explain how the "free market" works when congressmen and women slap a punitive 54-cent per gallon tariff on cheaper Brazilian ethanol produced from sugar cane in order to protect the totally inefficient corn ethanol as a gift to Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill and the corn ethanol producers.

Republican/Tea Partyers object to extending unemployment benefits for millions of jobless Americans but have no problem larding out corporate welfare checks to the looters who have driven our country to the edge of bankruptcy.

Bill Moyers did a series about 20 years ago where he interviewed all the best minds in the world and asked them where did they think we were as a civilization. Does anyone remember the name of that? I thought it was called "The Anthologies" or Bill Moyers Anthologies.

He has a way of stepping back and getting the whole picture.

surprise surprise beliefs overwhelm evidence.

it matters not the ideology, beliefs matter more than evidence. politics and religion and of all things science are examples of this phenomenon.

as far as capitalism even bill does not see that by its very design and agenda it will create over time a survival of the fittest winner take all mentality and culture.

Unchecked human nature yes. It's never going away so its up to society to place limits on it. And some do, others not so much. Most people prefer limits or you get Afghanistan
