Taxation is theft, liberalism is a mental disoarder. I actually suffered from that disorder once. Thank god it's one of those diseases that once cured of, one will never get it again.

You should move to Somalia - where trickle up poverty has flourished - the liberal way.

What specific corporation do these OWS people have an issue with? I love what corporations have done for this country. I just bought a $300 laptop computer that didn't even exist 20 years ago. The computer I bought 20 years ago cost almost $2000 and is now obsolete. Without outsourcing, the technological advancements couldn't have taken place at the rapid speed they did. We are living in a great time. No, it's not perfect or easy, but the times are great, never the less.
08:22 AM on 01/16/2012
OWS has a problem with Wall Street, my friend. The big banks stole trillions of taxpayer dollars and they own both parties. Do your basic research. They're still on the take.
09:10 AM on 01/16/2012
No thats where you're wrong the banks didn't steal anything that the Gov't didn't let them, its not the banks that are the problem,,its the politics regardless of what party it is, change the rules then the banks will change, also occupy the voting booths until things are changed quit voting for what party you support and vote for the person best for America, and if you get it wrong don't be afarid to say so and vote them out The only street in America that controls anything is Penn. ave

They didn't steal a dime of taxpayer money. TARP was a LOAN - that had to be paid back - with interest - and almost all of it has been. Now the money that Barry loaned to GM and Solyandra - those didn't get paid back.

And yes they all donate to candidates - last election Obama took more than anyone else.

LOL - they started the net with Arapanet - but after that - was all private industry. If it was solely the government's doing you'd be posting using a 9600 baud dial up modem on a computer with 15mg of hard drive, that cost you $3,000.

question,
what happens after the companies are "exectured" and are taxed up to jing jang... i mean if they want to send US jobs to india, pakistan tax them! but those that keep the jobs in the US should be awarded, maybe not free tax ride like GE does but something...
did we think what happens when the companies go belly up? wont that create more unemployment?
please explain

The "GE pays no taxes" thing was debunked long ago - the left wing never looks past an initial report because they might find out they were wrong.

isn't it funny that AntiDemocrats like you keep bring up GE....the fact is GE paid no taxes for TWO YEARS because of extensive losses in the GE Capital Branch of the corporation due to the housing market tanking....but isn't it funny that you always ignore the Oil Companies that make Billions in profits every single quarter and pay NO TAXES at all. Oh wait, thats right the Oil Companies support the GOP.
06:43 AM on 01/17/2012
oh no, i agree with you oil companies biggest crooks!
but dont they give contributions to both parties? if i am wrong then i am wrong
but i googled this.

I thoroughly enjoy the silly, "corporate personhood" discussion with which spectacularly enlightened leftists routinely amuse themselves.  Can you marry a corporation?  Can you execute a corporation?  Can you ride next to one on the bus?  You get the idea; we're talkin' high-minded stuff.  However, the real issue is not, how much, or where it's coming from, but rather that, NO political speech shall be suppressed.  It is the duty of the voter to consider the source.

If corporations are people, they should pay the highest personal tax rate and not be allowed any tax deductions that are not allowed for people. In addition, shareholders should not be protected from the corporations liabilities. Tax them the same.
06:48 AM on 01/16/2012
They are not natural persons, they are juridical persons. That's why they don't have 4th amendment protections.

if corporations are people...
you can buy and sell corporations you are buying and selling people
you cannot own people but you can own corporations
a person cannot be bought and sold
how can something that can be bought and sold be a person

This is like 'science' for the progressives. It's a catch phrase that means nothing, but they all have agreed it means they are smarter than the rest of us.

Juridical personhood is not the same as natural personhood.

". . .when Texas executes one of them."

It happens all the time. It's called "involuntary dissolution." The corporation ceases to exist, and its assets, if any, are distributed as provided by law. They do it in Texas, and everywhere else. http://law.onecle.com/texas/business-corporation/7.01.00.html

When discussing legal matters, the preferred sequence of action is to look uplaw first, speak second.

You are missing the point. If corporations truly are "people", then their actions (or crimes) should have the same punishment as what is applied to real people. When a real person kills, they are potentially eligible for the death penalty. But when corporate decisions result in deaths, the corporation can behind behind their "limited liability".

Corporations constantly get the death penalty. It is pure ignorance to complain that they don't. The only thing with perpetual life in the human arena is a government agency

Make no mistake: The Occupy movement IS the ftrue acilitator for hope and change. Get on board today and be part of the fight for our rights. That is what democracy looks like - it's been a long time since we've truly been part of our own futures. March 30 on the mall in D.C. - the National Movement begins. Continue to ignore the naysayers and stay focused. Don't let them push you to hate your brothers and sisters standing beside you; always look UP to political corruption.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention... There are NOT enough jobs for all the people who WANT to work. The OWS people want to work, want to get jobs, there simply ARE NOT ENOUGH jobs to go around.

Corporate executives continue to make record person profits, yet none of that money seems to "trickle down" to the rest of the populate.
