the words "dress" and "gown" ...either the designer or the author of this article, or both, apparently have know idea what they mean.

If you wear something like that concoction that screams, "I DON'T TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!", it is.

I would not dare refer to this intimate apparel as a wedding gown - let's call it like it is....its lingerie with a sheer overlay, which happens to be white. I could certainly see myself wearing this - but its a farce to indicate in any form or fashion that it may somehow be "wedding" attire.

Well, I could get one like that. I'm 65 and the law of gravity has taken over but on the plus side I would have the fun of watching my guests die laughing.

I cannot believe there are people actually supporting this dress. Actually, it isn't a dress. It is a piece of material. Only a woman of questionable morality and values would wear this dress. Ladies liking this, please rethignk your selves and show some class for the sake of all womanhood!
01:16 PM on 01/24/2012
I know, right? This isn't even a dress.. it's just.. a piece of sheer/clear clothing over the model.

One of my fondest memories is of walking downtown Bayreuth, Germany as a young American GI, and witnessing what had to be a newly married couple walking down the street toward me. The Bride had the above dress on, but there was no bra under the gauze. She had a very nice pair of "B+ or C" cup breasts, and the rest of her was just as beautiful. The fellow I sorta remember wearing a silver-grey tux. I just wish I had a camera with me. But I was probably too surprised to have thought to take a picture. This was spring of 1974.

This isn't for everyone...please realize that for the sake of your wedding guests.

How could a woman ever wear a G-String? G-Strings were in fact instituted by the Patricarchy.
09:51 PM on 01/23/2012
Because women will dress to feel attractive, patriarchy or not.
08:50 PM on 01/23/2012
That wedding dress is so beautiful. I am going to get mine for my next wedding.
06:48 PM on 01/23/2012
I would wear it, because I am that stupid

Thus continues the ridiculous sexual objectification of women...

I feel like this is a step away from returning to paying for brides. As my (male) partner just said, "That's not a wedding dress, that's something you get sold in."

Don't like it? Then don't wear it. It's as simple as that.
01:01 AM on 01/24/2012
How is it objectification of women if a woman decides to buy and wear it. this sort of comment only come from some shot out overweight or insecure person. Don't hate, congratulate. To each their own, right? If it makes you feel good do it .
