Franks is the white bread of hot sauces and has WAY too much sodium. Pickapeppa Red, not the brown stuff, is my sauce of choice, and therefore the very finest.

I have the new Tabasco with the wing sauce but not tasted it yet.I prefer the NC sauce, yes its made in Winston-Salem,NC,Texas Pete.It wasn't selling well 'til they changed the name to Texas Pete.I don't know the orignal name, need to look it up.

Those are so mild! I like my Chef Giovanni's Crushed-Pepper Sauces. 9 varieties, from "mild" to super hot--the hottest being Extreme Ghost Pepper...

A congressional investigation is needed to get to the bottom of this divisive confrontation and ascertain which is The Best Wing Sauce.

Yes, another useless, do nothing, pathetic, totally waste of time COMMITTEE of wise men is most definately in order to wistfully dawdle and whimsically quibble over this extremely contentious issue that is eating away at and tearing apart the American psyche. Now who wants marshmallows with their wings?

Frank's Chili Lime, hands down. Hard to find where I live. The markets here carry every variety of Frank's (at least 6, closer to 8) , but not the lime variety. I'm guessing the addition a vitamin C ingredient scares southerners.

Frank's is good cheap hot sauce. If you don't have a bottle of Frank's in your kitchen, you just might be a communist.

Everyone enjoy your wings--just be careful of the right side of the chicken with liberal amounts of sauce ---could be a left wing plot

I like Louisiana Hot Sauce. Yummy!

That's my favorite as well...I mix it and Frank's for Buffalo Chicken Dip but use it alone for everything else.

Interesting. I've always thought that the Louisiana and Frank's were virtually identical (cayenee based, no?) as opposed to the Tabasco which is much hotter and not as tasty.

I love the Tobasco habanero but its almost impossible to get in Canada. I'm always scowering shops and grocery stores when I'm away. Franks doesn't come close. A good back. IMO.

I'm not sure if Amazon has added free shipping to their foodstuffs yet, but last year they purchased a company which sells food products over the internet. There is a lot of stuff I'd have LIKED to have ordered online, but shipping costs always end up making it prohibitive.

Yucatan habanero and Secret Aardvark habanero are what I'm using on pretty much everything these days. Much prefer them to Frank's.
05:24 PM on 02/01/2012
I prefer Wing Time wing sauce. It's all ready to pour on simple fried wings. And that's plain fried, no breading. Breading does not go on hot wings.
04:48 PM on 02/01/2012
Frank's without a doubt. It has a great flavor and enough heat. Tobasco has a little heat but no flavor. It's gotta be Frank's. And if you don't have Frank's you should just throw out the wings and order a pizza.

You said it Joannisn!!! CHICKEN wings originated in Buffalo (as everyone knows) and the only way to have true CHICKEN wings Buffalo-STYLE is with FRANK'S!!!! they are CHICKEN wings folks ... not Buffalo wings. (And Tom Brady will probably knock them during his next whine off ....)

If you are looking for Anchor Bar authenticity...Franks. I used to work there. It has a good consistency and clings to the wings...but whatever you like will do!

I believe Frank's is what Hooters uses. I like the suggestion of mixing the two sauces. Everything is good to go for tomorrow already, but I'll have to give it the ol' wing "pepsi challenge" myself sometime.
