This can't be true. The GOP conservative keep telling us Obama's hands are just as wet as the republicans when it comes to corporate greed. Looks like it's just one more lie from the right. It also looks like the XL Pipeline doesn't have a future.
09:22 AM on 02/02/2012
You're right it's not true... Check out who donated more to the DNC (or organization to reelect Obama) http://www.opensecrets.org/parties/indus.php?cycle=2012&cmte=DNC

Now the RNC... http://www.opensecrets.org/parties/indus.php?cycle=2012&cmte=RNC

DNC got 13.1 mil fromt he financial sector and RNC 7.7 mil

Fiction sure is fun though!! Love how they make Obama to be Wall Streets worst enemy

Oh, believe me, that pipeline has a future. Remember: this is the president who's already caved to tax breaks for the rich and has do little to make sure his Uncle Lloyd is held accountable for all the misery Goldman Sachs has caused and continues to cause. China wants this pipeline. That's why the border was opened to Mexican trucks, another stupid move by the president that is causing untold misery to American truckers. All the fracking and destruction going on in south Texas right now is NOT for domestic usage. It's for shipping out to India, China, whomever will pay. The right has done a very good job of convincing its sheeple that Obama is Malcolm X and MLK combined and is determined to take the Robin Hood approach of taking from the rich and giving to the poor, but the opposite is true. Mr. Obama IS big business, big money, a "blue dog" president if you will. He may pretend he's concerned right now to fool us into voting for him again, but his concern is not with the average American whatever he may say.

Once the President is voted out and we have a new pro-business president you will see the stock market improve all most overnight. The economy will begin to turn around and by the time our new GOP president is sworn in you will see an improvement already in our financial indicators. Once this happens I truly hope the socialists in this country will see that their way is wrong and capitalism is right. The problem is liberals are anti-capitalism which can only be implemented in a free market economy, so they want to change what has made America the greatest nation in the History of the world.

Do you even bother to LOOK at the figures of American corporate profit right now? Profit has never been higher and wages have never been lower. It's simply amazing to me, and incredibly sad, that people cannot see the shell game that's going on here. American businesses...excuse me, American corporations...they no longer care about the American market....are thriving while our country turns into the 3rd world countries we used to make fun of. Believe me when I tell you this...and I'm a 30 year straight ticket voting Dem....Barack Obama is the best thing to happen to the Republican party, big business, and big money since Bush was there...8 years of Bush horror and another 8 of a sold out corporate puppet. That's the reality, Mr. Reagan. Please pay attention. Obama screwed us all. And on another note, what made America the greatest country in the world, as you say, is that at one time, we all had a say in our govt and in our lives. We had decent jobs with good working conditions. The right wing, with the assistance of the weakest Dem party I've ever seen and this person that the media created and put into office, has destroyed us all.

There are so many problems with your statement. I would greatly appreciate an education on how I am wrong on the economy. Mr. Obama has not done what the Dems want in regards to big business because he knows where the power is. But his total disregard for the middle class and the fact that he sees Federal Government as a Nanny is so dangerous and destructive that if he and the dems remain in power, this country will crumble.

I am extremely interested in economics and have studied economies for years. I do not listen to the pundits and the media, I research and come to my own conclusion. I suggest you do the same. The media and the higher education lackeys in this country are destroying the real America, that is a fact.

So much will Romney personally make from The American Airlines Bankruptcy?
AA said they could only afford 6 million in pension payments, but are able to pay BAIN CAPITOL $14 million to help them with their bankruptcy.

1. AA is going to fire 13000 workers.
2. The American taxpayer will be stuck with paying the pensions.
3. AA scheme is to break the unions.
4.. Bain and Romney profit while putting thousands of Americans into unemployment, more
mortgage failures, the taxpayer foots the pension and healthcare bill as a result and Mitt puts more in his pocket.

I support any company that sticks it to the union thugs!

another True Republican with tons of conviction and hatred, but without an ounce of rational thought. Ignorant and not even worth arguing with.

Bain didn't cause these problems...any connection of the two is a result of ignorance, not reality.

My grandma used to say to "watch what people do, not what they say". Obama talks the good talk right before the election, but his base since going into office has been the likes of Blankfine, et al. He hasn't "demonized" anyone. It's all bs. Unfortunately for the rest of us, the rich guys have enough money to pay both sides, and both sides are more than willing to take the cash.
03:28 PM on 02/02/2012
The only guy that has not ever taken lobby money is Ron Paul. he has ethics. Obama, Newt,Mitt,Rick and the host of other wanna be candidates that have already tried and failed, are all on the same lost train heading for a cliff. they haven't a clue about anything, and neither does the mainstream paid for media that keeps the blackout against Dr. Paul going. http://tinyurl.com/3od8wo7

Don't believe the propoganda. DNC is getting almost twice as much money from the Financial sector than the RNC:

I kinda like that they are supporting Romney. When the president is reelected he will owe thm nothing and can then cause the effecting of real wall street regulations. Right now he has been kinda in bed with them as no prosecution at all for them destroying the world's economy and the fraud involved.

Wow, this is one TERRIBLE article. It reads like it was written by Obama's press secretary. Obama on the outs with Wall Street?! Give me a break. Are they including cash given to the DNC in this study? I would be shocked if Obama hadn't told all his Wall Street pals to start making out all their checks to the DNC in 2012 so media lapdogs would start writing articles like this.

Don't believe ANY of this garbage until top level executives start going to jail. And don't say they didn't break the law because they got the laws watered down. They were still breaking the watered down laws.

Obama has learned that dealing with criminals is a no win policy. He should have sided with his oath of office. He would not be seen as a loser as the American people would not desperately searching for a winner to lead them.

Anyone who votes republican in the presidential election is either a complete and utter idiot or was lobotimized recently. With the depth and level of information we know about their agenda, their candidates and the state of our country it is the equivalent of removing your spleen with a spork and feeling good about your actions and then parading around with your spleen in the air. Morons.

So Romney's going to get all of the Wall St. money. Well, no surprise there. The Republicans breed money-hungry, snake oil salesmen and scam artists all of the time. They mesh nicely with the Wall St. crowd these days.
07:05 AM on 02/02/2012
One for all and all for one! It always warms my heart to see "people"--yes, those loveable scamps of Wall Street are people, too!--rallying around their own in a gesture of financial support made possible by their greed and fraud. Despite the misery they have caused, they can still go on as confident and cocky as ever. Despite all, they can still say they are the One Percent!
